My driver side window is stuck down. I have no idea why, Acura said it could be 2 things, the window regulater or the motor. Acura said they’d find out the problem for $40. Once I get the door panel off, what sould i look for to see my problem, i dont know any electrical sh*t. Any help would be fine. And please hurry, its cold drivin at night with the window all the way down.
Try to move the switch REALLY SLOWLY to the up position. Sometimes the window will go up if you stop halfway from “neutral” to the “up” position. If you see any movement or hear anything whirring, it could be that your switch is worn/dirty. Consult the tegtips on how to clean them.
i think the regulator is this gear type thing that transfer the turning motion from the power motor to the up and down movement of the actual window. this is mechanical so it’s failure rate is very low compare to the actual motor which is electrical/mechanical. electrical components are more prone to failures so most likely it’s the motor. but as with N FUL FX said, try the switch and wiring first. if everything seems ok, then mostly likely you’ll need a new motor. im trying to find one myself but i dont wanna pay $200 for a new one.
ya i know me too, but thanks for help, I’ll try it, but i doubt it’ll work.
