Hey Pat, please check your emails. Thanks.
I have been reading through this thread for a while and I am approaching a similar project in the near future and had a couple questions. First of all what level of competence in composites do you guys have? I would ditch the wing all together start from scratch. With a simple vacume setup and some patience you guys could begin making your own parts with a relatively little monetary investment. Secondly I noticed digital horizon mentioned wanting to make the undercarriage of the car as flat(and streamlined) as possible. If you look at the shape of the car wouldnt that actually decrease the aerodynamic downforce due to the distance/speed traveled by undercarriage air flow in relation to the upper flow? I plan on making the undercarriage of the car an airfoil design with the air comming through a venturi opening in the front bumper then narrowing and being released under the car only to then be directed back up sloping out a vent in place of the rear filler plate. I would definately be interested in hearing the results of your modeling on a stock chassis.
