I was wondering if I could just use a the gsr wiring harness on my ls when I do the b18c motor swap? WIll this work?
Depending on what year your teg is…
Josh
sure… if your willing to rip out your car wiring and COMPLETELY swap it over… but if your 92-93 then it is easier
I have a 92-93 teg, But I found a guy who was selling his gsr harness from his 92 teg, I was wondering if it was worth it to do the swap or just add in wires.
if it’s just the engine-side harness (just the engine bay part) you’ll still have to run wires from the ECU to the harness anyway…
if it’s the ecu-side (inside the car) what the hell would that help? the amount of time you’d spend ripping out all your old wiring and running the new wiring would be worthless…probably take 10 times longer than just running the 4 wires for vtec/knock sensor…
The only harness taht will work in a 92-93 Integra that had an LS motor is an LS harness. Dont buy the GSR harness, it won’t work.
ehh?
an obd1 harness will work in an obd1 car. If he wants to run a b18c1 with g2 gsr harness, all he will have to add it the IAB wiring, and not even that using a sk2 intake man. You could even use it to run an LS motor just by leaving the KS, VTEC pressure, and VTEC solenoid wiring undone.
if you’re concerned about using your LS harness, dont be. You can use that on your b18c1, and just add vtec wiring, KS, IAB and call it a day. That is exactly what I did on mine…
OBD1 92-93 GSR or any other OBD1 harness won’t plug up into an Integra which originally had an LS motor. Check the termination locations for the engine harness in an Helms manual to verify.
