Wire Tuck

I want to get started on a wire tuck, but i noticed that there are only two threads on here about it.
Has anyone done this that can give some helpful tips?
I want to retain a/c, p/s, etc…
I only want to hide the existing wires.

im with ya on this one i havent found a damn thing on it. ive been looking for like 2 weeks. any write ups or tips would be helpful.

Im also trying to tuck the obivous wires in my bay. Ill be relocating my fuse box inside the cabin here shortly ill take some pics of that once completed. I have a removed the most obivous things like AC/PS/CC and all hard lines and wires. Replaced my main fan with a slim fan and placed it in front of the radiator. All little miscellaneous (sp?) brackets and usless things that serve no purpose anymore i have removed. For anyone who has started or completed tucking there harness please post up some tips or any other useful information on it. Thanks.

where the hell is ur front crossmember usally i can see them by the radaitor or is the raditor just bigger so it coveres it. this is a gen 2 teg right bc i know civics 92+ and tegs 94+ dont have front crossmembers i dono just looks clean lmk i need info on wiretuck ppl i know theres a thread on engine bay pics but i need instructions.

is that a tube frontcross meber i see diffenert radius rods i like it alot where did ya get it. ???

Full-Race traction bar. Frees up a huge amount of space.

ok so i attempted to begin the tuck today.
took all of the looms off of the wires that run along the passenger side by the intake. then i was staring at like 30 wires and i said FUCK THIS SHIT. so i just re-loomed it with new loom and some electric tape.
it actually looks better now, but not as good as a wire tuck.

how much for full race traction bar thats sweet i want one so bad

link http://www.full-race.com/ i think it said 450

is that a stock bumper?
if so, did you modify the grill?
it looks like there are less plastic fin things

Nope. Bought brand new from acura.

I bought my traction bar from a wholesale dealer which was around $420.00

ive been thinking of relocating me fuse block. anyone kno where there is a write up on that or could give me some tips?

From what i see the main harness is long enough to reach back inside the cabin. You have to extend one positive cable wire that leads back to the fuse box.

yea thats about right, you gotta take off the wire loom.and extend two wires.its a bitch gettin the plugs thew the firewall though.

it’s pretty nerve-racking. if you accidentally scrape up against something and end up exposing part of a wire, you could be in a LOT of trouble. that’s why i jsut said fuck it and reloomed everything.

I found the Full-Race Traction bar for a 92-00 Civic for $345.00 on Lightning Motorsports Will it fit on the Teg.

where does it says it fit DA?

still have found NOTHING i know im a NOOB but i searched like you guys said… i have even searched OFF this site and find VERY LIMITED STUFF!!! PLEASE ANYONE help me!!!

id like to check into tucking some wires myself. tomorrow tho if i get the time im going to be tucking my clutch cable behind the intake manifold. just going to take it one step at a time. and see what else can be relocated.

I just finished mine last week. I took the harness and ran them down each side of the engine bay. Just tuck it down a bit. Then run them into the fenderwell (where the intake resonator is). That was the first part. I did this for both sides. Then I removed the blower inside the cabin. Take the fuse box wires completely off and shove them through one of those big grommets. I forgot which one it was but it WASN’T the A/C one. All of those wires reach with no extension. I relocated the battery and ran them like this. 2ga. wire from battery (+) to alternator. 2ga from alternator to fuse box (now inside the car). Make a “T” in the wire from alternator to fuse box an run 2ga over to the starter to give it power. Now you only have 1 wire running to the fuse box instead of the 2 power cables. As far as the “lighting” wiring for headlights and such. It very easy. Just extend and plug in as you need. Take any excess wiring and zip tie it together in a bunch, then zip tie it inside the splash guards. It was a straighforward process but it just took some time. Let me know if there are any specific pics you would like an I will try to post them up. Like fuse box, battery wiring etc. I’m not the best at explaining shit but hopefully this makes a little sense.
