can’t find holes in firewall to wire my amp through…?? can you guys help me find a location and pics if possible… btw, i’m using 4 gaauge wires so it’s pretty big…
i drilled a hole through firewall just below ac evaporator and the used grommet that came with my amp kit. find where the drain tube for evap goes out to engine bay. there is also a rubber grommet behind the intake manifol that you could use also.
If you pull back the passenger carpet, you will see the kickplate where the ECU is. If you look above that, and to the left a little bit, you will see a grommet with a hole. Drill/cut a hole through the grommet and pass your wires through there.

Also there is a hole with a grommet in it that comes out to the right and up above the gas pedal i ran mine thru that. Kind of a pain in the ass if you have big arms but its pretty easy to find.

Ditto that^^^
Whatever you end up doing, using an existing hole with dummy plug in it, using the main engine bay to pass. compartment wiring grommet, or drilling your own hole, do it on the pass. side of car, don’t run the power cable over the engine bay to the drivers side of car, it adds unnecessary cable length, and just plain does not look good.
Hint, if you are using an existing hole, with a dummy grommet in it, remove the grommet and “punch” a round hole in it, if you do not have a hole punch use a socket with about the same outside diameter as the cable, [or a little bigger] place dummy grommet on a hard surface, place socket on grommet, [a short extention on socket will help] ans using a hammer “punch” a hole in the dummy grommet.:whisper: 94
I went through an empty hole below the intake manifold. No need to drill when there are free ones available. I had no problem running 2awg through it.
Yeah theres an empty plug below the intake manifold and to the left of the brake booster, i ran my 4 awg amp wire and my alarm horn wire through that plug, just pull it out and put a hole in it or put a hole in it while its in, doesn’t matter, just makes it easier to run the wire through it when its out
I’ve pulled six wires out from the rubber plug around the ac before.:werd:
