wiring harness

hello would a gen 3 integra wiring harnes fit our g2s i have the wiring harness for a 95 integra and wondering if it would fit my 1993 integra

any help please

There isn’t a 100% yes or no answer to that. Especially because you didn’t specify WHAT harness you’re talking about. Engine harness? Main harness? Some subharness?

But with that said, the quick answer is no, you’ll need a harness specific to your year and model.

engine harness sorry

yes

all harnesses can be interchanged, with lil modifications. for instance, the map sensor on the 95 will be on the throttle body, but on the second gen it is above the brake reservoir. lil things here and there, but do note, it is much easier to remove the entire dash before trying to pull a harness. takes about 2 hours.

Thats some really general and I’d say bad info. Sure you can make it work, but some harnesses will require a lot more work than others. 92-93 rs/ls/gs and 92-93 gsr engine harnesses aren’t even interchangeable, and those are the same basic chassis. With a G2 vs G3 harness there will be even more differences, even battery and fuse box wiring is different.

In general it’s a bad idea to try and mod another harness to work unless you’re going full custom. It’s not hard to find the correct harness, so why bother creating extra work, and potential problems?

Even when doing an engine swap, it is always easiest to use the engine harness that came in the vehicle that the swap is going into. You frequently have to add wires and change pins on connections, but it will make the changes at the ECU side minimal.

Here is a great example: I stupidly tried to follow this guide when I swapped a D16A1 into my 87 CRX several years ago.

If you take the time to look at the wiring harness for this car; there are about 3 wires that need to be added. I ended up having to change a bunch of shit around in the engine bay and then effectively making changes on the ECU to undo what I had just done.

This is why you don’t trust the internet. That writeup seems very intelligently written and the logic seems reasonable…until you actually compare the wiring diagrams for those two cars and realize what a cluster fuck it really is.

My point is: Listen to Colin, get the correct harness for your chassis.
