wiring into fog switch

okay, i am going to add a rear fog (same as european cars). i was going to splice into my relay for the auxiliaries. but, i’ve decided that i want them to come on with the stock fogs, not my 100watt lights. is it hard or at all possible to wire something into the factory switch, is there a relay i could splice into and would i need to upgrade the fuse? what type of wire would be recommended(gauge size?) the rear bulb is 12v. i would like to avoid putting another switch in, there is not a whole lot of room to work with (from behind) and i don’t have a dremel anymore. i did pick up a g3 fog swtich, so it wouldn’t look bad. but that switch is going to my auxiliaries. any sort of info would be great.

What are you trying to do?

Ok all I can understand is that you want to add another set of fog lights to the back of your car? What for?

job has already been done. i wired into my auxilaury switch. so there is better visibilty of my car from the rear, and it is only on ine side. you live in snowy and foggy conditions. i live at 7300 ft. it is foggy, hard to see just the regular taillights.

texnteg: What gauge wire did you end up using?

i used 16 gauge. and, 18 gauge for the front auxiliaries. i noticed that 16 was used for the other lighting. i had used 18 for the fronts because it was run thru the engine compartment. if you have anymore questions, email me: jmaffu@msn.com
