wiring problem

my car is not getting any power to the instrument cluster. i was putting in a turbo timer. i put in a turbo timer touch my white power white wire and my ground coming off the ignition. i pop my main fuse and i pop my headloght light fuse. replace all my fuse’s and im not getting power to my instrument cluster. im getting sound from the cime. i need some help thanks.

Not sure I understand what you say you did but there is no ground, “ground coming off the ignition” and shorting out any ign. leads will blow a main fuse, and possibly the clusterfuse.:dozing:94

there is a black and white wire father down the ignition harness. i already replace my main fuse it pop along with my headlight fuse.

The black/white lead in the ign. harness is the starter lead.

When grounding things like turbo timers, the ground lead should be connected to the cars chassis, best spot is one of the dash harness grounds at the lower “A” pillar, next to fuse box.

What fuses were blown?

For the head lights is it fuse 33 - 50A, [hot at all times] in engine bay fuse box, or the ones in the under dash fuse box?

For the main fuse is it fuse 32 - 50A, [hot at all times] in engine bay fuse box or fuse 30 - 80A (92-93) 70A (90-91), [hot at all times] in engine bay fuse box?

When you say, no power to instrument cluster do you mean the instruments do not work or the instrument cluster lights do not work?

Instuments fuse 23 - 7.5A (92-93) 10A (90-91), [hot in run and start] in under dash fuse box.
Lights fuse 11 - 15A (fuse 1 - 15A if it’s a 90 w/DRL), [hot when park/head lights are on.

Is the turbo timer still wired into the cars wiring?:corn:
