this B16 Wiring harness is cut to ****… will the one in my teg plug in everywhere or am i going to have to be joining wires?
I have the ECU that came with this motor too… will that plug right in?
I have researched alot on the frank but i seem to not have found these answers.
Do i have to bore and hone for ITR pistons?
i have a 91 LS and this is a first gen B16
other parts i have ordered include:
ITR Pistons and Rings
LS Rods and barrins
GSR Timing Belt
LS Head Gasket
B16 Intake man. gasket
B18 Oil Pan Gasket
B16 valve cover gasket
GSR head bolts
and a new moonroof switch … I broke min switching the bezel
i’m confused , all i read was ls/vtrec and nowhere does say what block ure using.
For ls/vtec all you need is that head from that b16a…
once suggestion… get eagle rods/arp studs/make sure you get a block griddle if you really want to rev to 8000.
i have a crvtec i had a lsvtec lots of fun… one more advice, if you really serious do not go cheap on any parts, beleive me and i dont care what ppl say if you want to rev all the way to 8000 build it right.
also read that your getting a gsr timming belt. i dont see why, your using ya b16a head and b18a bottom end. unless ure using a b17 bottom end. anyways bud good luck and if you need anything write me a email i’d be more then happy to help you
i’m pretty sure you’ll need a water pump from a vtec engine if you’re gonna use a vtec timing belt. i believe the vtec engine’s water pump has different number of teeth on the pully. then again i could be wrong. anywho, personally i would’ve used the b16a pistons instead of the ITRs you ordered. you might run into detonation problem with that high of compression. plus you already have the b16a pistons so you can speed that money on other stuff.
