worn shift linkage bushings

My shifter feels so loose that you cant tell what gear its in since it moves freely while in gear. took it in to get looked at and was told the shifter joint bushing is worn out and cant replace it so only sollution is to buy a new or used linkage.

has anyone ever fixed this or done something to better or do we just have to go back to the oem new or used linkage?

Could try Energy Suspension kit 16.1101 Shifter stablizer bushings $8.99+ shipping. Or buy a DC shift linkage as I hear they are a great improvement.

Same link twice in a day. I’m not a spammer for them I swear.

There is the linkage at the transmission, that is not normally serviceable. The bushings at the rear are, last post covers that.

This product looks both interesting and promising. Has anyone here tried this product/service? If so . . . how is it?

Sounds like a good idea but an OEM rod from Acura is only like 50 or 60 bucks.

exactly, the lower rear bushing where the shifter sits is held in by welded plates so you cant press it out. You can torch it but your never going to get a new one in and there isnt any replacement ones sold, unless you by the entire rod with new bushings already in it.
