my plans ar to build a 13:1 compression LSVTEC using all forged internals and sleeving my b18a block ans running a 100 shot…would it make sense to buy a b16a1 complete swap with LSD tranny and just swap the stock b16 block out for my built b18 block? i figure it would considering that im going to have to buy a new tranny and all the b16 stuff to complete my lsvtec setup…

i havent really posted much on here about my plans for the integra.im usually on the other forums…the car is getting stripped and rebuilt…as of right now all the interior is pulled out, the floor pans have been sealed and cleaned, door panels, dash and trim peiced have all be cleaned and have all brand new fastening hardware…as the car sits it is waiting on the 8 point cage, new carpet and seats to arrive…the suspension is also be totaly re-worked…i wanted to go high compression nitrous because everyone boost’s thier LS…im not knocking it and i im not saying that i wouldnt consider it. im not going cheap on this project…im not going to spend $1k on a turbo system.things are going to be done right and not thrown together…whatever setup i go with the motor will built & sleeved…i hope im not offending anyone…the car will also see fresh paint in the next month or so…
the car doesnt have to be all that streetable…my 02 lexus IS300 is my daily driver…
OK just don’t do LS/vtec and build the engine and go turbo. Hes not saying only spend 1k on it (even thought its possible to get a decent setup for 1.5k) he is just saying the the route he went.
13:1 is very risky but doable. My cousin did a 13 something CR but it didnt hold up long dont know because here we have 91 octane and weather he use racing fuel its expensive and he’d probably got detonation and bye bye rods. But hey good luck and becareful
the 13:1 was goingto be with a sleeved block forged pistons and H beam rods…but i know its still risky…im pretty undecided now on my build…i have alot to do to the bodt of the car before the motor build
