any one used the ycp 8.5:1 pistons for the b series? I just got some going to boost them with a gt2871r, kinda scarred. they feel cheap, sound cheap, were cheap, think I should put a screen in front of my turbo cheap feeling! searched three differant web sites most post are for d series.
am I really the first idiot to try and push these b-series low comp pistons? :dunno::dunno:

We did this in my buddies b16. never got the car running right though, had no trq and no power till about 6k. It ran like it had the timing belt timing off 1 tooth but it didn’t. had a t3/t4 50 trim on it and it would get 10 psi at around 3.5k but wouldn’t go anywhere. didn’t move when vtec kicked in either. I have no idea what was up with it. anyways we only ended up putting like 2 miles on it before he hit some ice and totalled the car lol. so that is my experience with these. my guess is if you have the tuning and fuel you could def get away with 15psi and maybe even 20 since the compression is like 8.6:1 or whatever.
