yet another "high flow cat"?

Iv been looking at a lot of the old posts and Im still having some trouble with this. Im about to turn the teg into a track whore and I figured I’ll go ahead and get a new cat since I won’t be driving it daily anymore and I wouldn’t mind a little extra air. I went on car-sound.com but had some trouble trying to figure out what fits and prices. Hopefully Im not just being real dumb and missing something. I need some help on picking a decent cat or test pipe and where I can go to purchase one. Thankyou.

just go to a muffler shop and tell them to fabricate a test pipe for you.
If you want the ability to swap between a test pipe and a cat, then tell them to put flanges on it and make it the same length as your existing cat.

If you want to buy from car-sound, just take a measuring tape to your cat, take note whether or not you need a O2 bung, and take note of how many bolts for each flange (usually 2 at the front and 3 at the back). (nothing in my exhaust is stock, so i don’t remember what the DAs need).

if car-sound doesn’t work out, www.kteller.com can make one for you, or you can buy all the pieces from there and make one yourself (if you can weld).

If your car is going to be a track whore, then just go with the test pipe. Noise and emissions shouldn’t be an issue.

do you have a 90-91 or a 92-93, i have a test pipe i no longer need for a 90-91, its yours for $30 if you want plus shipping or you can come pick it up if you are close enough

Thanks for the info. Clemsonteg, email me at MJI2000@aol.com. Let me know how much you want for shipping and I’ll gladly take it off your hands. it just bolts up right? I would drive down but I don’t have the time right now. Thankyou.
