Well as most of you are aware of that we had a forum going to see who is fastest all motor, boosted gen 2s around on earth! Now that the tables are set, what is your plan for this up coming season?
my goal is to just get my car to the track 1st:p but if I had to set a goal i’d like to hit mid 12’s maybe low 12’s on street tires by the end of the summer. just looking to have some fun not break records. gotta rep for the DA’s though not many out in the drag racing scene.
holy out of 149 people now 2 including me want to advance there current set up. You planning on doing mid to low 12’s turbo or all motor?
My all motor DA is on the back burner till my turbo DA is back together. I got a fresh rebuilt, all ready broken in 1995 B18C1 motor wit pistons, rods and gsr tranny wit type R finally drive. I plan on getting use to running mid 11’s then I can jump back and forth between my cars. I cant say what is plan for when that comes cause my mind can change from now till then once my BoostedTeg is running. Now that my Ford made mini van is giving me trouble I dont know if I can look forward to my all motor DA breaking new numbers. Man I should have never bought a Ford Windstar
my DA is boosted stock block b16 on E85 here is a graph on 9psi with my old turbo, retune with new turbo and new numbers coming soon
Mini don’t know yet. We shall see this summer though!
what kind of turbo you running on that set up? This dude down at the track had a B16 wit just SRP pistons wit a T3/T4 turbo and ran a 11.2 at 126 on slicks. They later put rods and ran 22 psi on stock sleeves but never took it to the track. I know Mini got something up her sleeve jk. I am beat from working in the cold and trying to get my build ready to work everything out once there is no more snow so when summer comes I can get alot of seat time in to push my set up to the limit
I plan to run low to mid 11s on my new setup. with my last setup, I ran a best of 11.92 @118mph so we will see how this new setup will be. Im running a laggier turbo but my antilag should help. going from a T3/T4 57 trim to a T67 or GT37 is a huge difference, so with that said, I will have to wait until I get another fuel pump and dyno it again because I was not happy about my #s on my walbro 255lphHP. I plan to add a bosch 44 pump inline in between the filter and rail. it should accommadate my setup just fine.
B18A1:
sleeved and bored to 81.5mm
ross pistons 9.0:1
pauter rods
supertech valves
rocket dual springs and retainers
P&P
Turbonetics T3/T4 57 trim(2004-2009) 333whp, 307ftlbs @ 20psi and 385whp, 340ftlbs @ 28psi(maxxed out) with all above
JG303 cams(new for 2011 setup)
Garrett T67/GT37(new for 2011 setup) 340whp, 290ftlbs @ 23psi and running out of fuel with included parts
Sadly this will be my first season with a decent motor, and my first time ever to the track. Hopefully I can hit a low 14…
DAMN you turbo’d folk!
(smokeintegra) I like how you stick it out with the B18A1 and with those numbers to beat, I like to see how you finish out the season. Dont worry unified112 we all have to learn it some way. I cant even count how many set ups I have done since I first started racing, but the experience was priceless no matter the time I put down. The one trick me and my crew love to do is try to beat each other time in the same vehicle (which rarely I get beat). I love it when my own buddys get a trill of me taking them on a joy ride with their own car and showing them what their car can do. I should start charging them jk.
As all you guys heard, the midwest was hit hard by the snow storm. My shop was covered with 6 feet of snow drift and my shell was is under 7 feet of snow and dont know how I am going to save it lol jk I dont have no where to put all this snow.
13.8 @ 101 is my best time in the car to date. This was done on my all motor Ls Vtec setup on slicks.
Car is currently turbo making a bit over 400, getting some minor things together so it can see track time this season.
pictures or time slip or it never happened!! lol j/k! anybody care to setup the new drag list for 2011? and maybe a sticky for every year? this might motivate members to build… building tuning and beating your personal best is addicting enough. but imagine how it would feel to beat someone elses pb?
gTIntegra you put down the same numbers as my friend that is LSV. 190whp and 131ftlbs. is that time on slicks? I will admit, with that power on street tires he couldnt even hit a 14…sad sad sad…
yup 22x8x13 m&h slick. it runs mid 13’s on street tires. I was running low 14’s when i first started… what chassis is your friends setup in?
his setup is in a 93 Civic Coupe. I dont remember the trim but he has power NOTHING and no moon/sunroof…he has a full k-sport suspension and B16 cable tranny(yes he is running some hydro to cable kit), the thing sounds mean but honestly, I would never show up to a raceday without my slicks…its pretty useless to spin all the way down the track…(trap speeds look like you should be in the 8’s but your actual E.T. is a 15…)…lol
ran a 15.2 in my bone stock 93 RS back in 2007:p stock 200,xxx miles ls with ls trans too lol:naughty: now i’m shooting for high to mid 12’s on street tires with my 340hp b16 turbo setup in the car currently. hopefully I can get out the hole without blowing the tires off every gear and running high 13’s lol!
You mean this? LoL
ooo now thats very nice!
very nice set up real similar to my old one!! here is some more motivation considering this thread is a lil old!!===>>
