we’ve got a 10 second very streetable Supra and a even more streetable 10 second Talon… The second happens to be my roomates… We should almot close this thread cause it takes so much to run a 10 that someone who has to ask will NEVER get there… Not for years… Unless they go out and buy a 10 second car…
if you want to reach 10s in a regular driver. its gonna take a lot of cash and redoing the motors internals to a very full extent. a lot of money and a turbo with a high ammount of boots. in not talking like a 15 psi piece of crap for that case. im talking high 20s or more. you would need suspension also and different tires. that also plays a very large role in racing the clock. not just a motor.
wouldnt it be nice if they had an awd conversion for hondas?

You’d want to look into all fiberglass or carbon fiber body panels - door skins, hood, fenders, bumpers (might as well get flashy ones - they are lighter) and the hatch. I’ve looked into the replacement hatches for the G2. They are completely fiberglass with plexiglas window. drawback - no defrost, but who needs it! Lighter rims, suspension to handle the plant. Limited Slip, New Tranny (5spd) w/ nice clutch, exhaust, turbo (and a CHITload of it) look into pistons and rods, cams, a 250 shot or better of NOS (again, a CHITload) running slicks with skinnies out back for the track, fuel management system with high flow injectors, full interior is a really bad idea, but if you want it, keep it. I don’t know about out there, but lots of places require a cage for 10’s there goes a ****-ton of weight… But don’t get me wrong, it can be done…

I think Top Fuel made a ten second crx with a b18c5 a huge turbo and a small nuclear reactor to get enough fuel to the head. But it was stripped heavily and somehow had a stock bottom end. This was way back in the day before Ls/Vtec, the other car it had to race was an american built G2. Someone help me on this, I think butista was the name of the guy. He had a heavily built b18b screaming to like 8k with a very stripped body. But yeah 10s have been happening for like a decade or so. Try for twelves, the biggest problem is traction. Trust me though, 15 psi on the streets is pretty f*cking scary.
