10sec car. What does it take?

Im not saying that’s what im trying to accomplish but it would be nice. Anyways… What would it take to make a turbocharged g2 with full interior to hit the 10’s in quarter mile? Basically how much power do you need? Just curious.

Swap in a built H22 with cement in the water jacket, big a$$ turbo, NOS, 3 foot wide slicks…need 500hp atleast

built B18C1 with highly tuned turbo, full adjustable coilover suspsension, LSD, and slicks…

Next season… :wink:

Supra’s don’t do the quater very well. It would take a lot of $$ even with a Supra to get into 10s…

But honestly either you have to be f*ing loaded or you can just buy a muscle car and go fast cheap.

That simple. Plus how the hell do you plan to street a ten second 4cyl. car? You realize it more then liekly will idle like ****?

I dont think that you have to be loaded, just very MOTIVATED…
I worked for a year, and saved my money just to buy this motor and get it to what it is now…

Plus I have another one on the way, that will put this one to shame…ie: fully built, etc… 30-35lbs of boost…
I will still drive it on the street. ( maybe not everyday, like the one I have now but still on the street )

If you have the right management system, you can idle almost anything on the street…ie: 1000cc RC injectors, will idle…with alot of tuning…

Dont know if you guys know Mike Carl ?
His 95 Integra was a fully built race motor, and he ran 10.83 at 130, with full interior, glass etc…
Still drove it on the street too, untill he decided to go full race and cut the car up…

In my opinion, you can get it to idle down, not very good choice for a daily driver, but you could still drive it on the street…and get some damn good numbers!

i hated the F and F all i’m saying if u want 10s with a full interior and still have an import the supra is the way to go… i know of two guys in the tens with thier supras and they are spending the same amount of money i spent on my set-up it all comes down to tuning and the driver BIG ASS slicks would not hurt either

um, you dont get out much do you? its damn easy. I’ve have atleast 6 friends in the 10s, and every single one of them drives it on the street. and 4 of those are daily drivers.

also i bet you’ve never heard of john shepherd. 9.89 at 148, drives it most of the week to and from work? did i mention, full glass? only a fiberglass hood, the rest is stock sheetmetal. btw, its a 91 Talon AWD. No big slicks, just 17x8 wheels on Drag radials baby.

AWD vs FWD is the catch on that one. An everyday FULL body G2 would have to put out a hell of alot more hp than an AWD car to get any kind of numbers even close to that. Still gotta love an every day 10 second car, regardless.

theres a 98 MKIV supra here in the 10’s…Matt knows who he is…

he went 10.81 @ 135 on slicks w/ full interior…

he converted it from a TT to a single turbo monster w/ an SP70 turbo kit

yea Al is damn cool. btw He ditched the stock wheels for SSR Integrals. 17x8 in front and 17x9.5 in back.
