13 second goals

what would be the easiest and cheapest way to get a 13 second N/A daily driver? i wouldnt mind doing a engine swap. i just want a mid 13 second daily driver. also want to keep my interior if i can. so my real question is what engine should i swap and what parts should i get for it, that wouldnt be too spendy.
thanks
Brian

also i dont wanna really do a turbo kit, its cool and all, but i wanna do N/A, also i dont wanna use n2o.

LS/VTEC w/fully built head and high compression pistons and a B16 Tranny

 … i just love post like those^^

ok… ok… 13 seconds are not easy, you need big hp and/or lighten your car

doing big hp on NA it’s hard, and expensive, but not impossible. with my build up i’ll be lucky if i even get 180…(ls engine, pr3 pistons on ls rods, port and polished head, upgrade head (valves, springs ,ect) 404’s, and nitrous, and lighten the the car) and luckier if i run high to mid 14’s.
maybe you meant high 13’s/ low 14’s? then you can achive it with NA, but it’s going to cost you. ls/vtec its your best choice, do some research… this site has a few 13 sec cars and info on ls/vtec.

And I love non believers like you my friend…

Read it…then talk

i wanna get to 100mph in the 1/4 in stock trim(well just not completely gutted just to take stuff out that i could put back in easily when i get back from the track) with a n/a motor on slicks but i want this car to be able to handle daily driving…is it posible? so the lsvtec is the best engine i should be thinking of, if i got a complete b16 swap what else would i need to get to do a lsvtec?

is there a website that shows u step by step on making a lsvtec like torque specs and all?

…:hi5:

you don’t need much more than a good effective set up and skill. i’ve seen a 17xwhp ITR pretty much full weight run 13.8@98-100 mph on streets (non drag radial) stock. f.d. dude had the magic. you gotta ride that clutch and nail the 60ft.

its not that hard to get ur car into the 13’s. a guy made 157WHP wit 403’s and pulled a 14.6 full interior. im on 404’s and i think im making 170WHP and im planning on hitting the track this week, see wat she can do.

RiceIntegra, are you running P30/PR3 pistons and a short geared tranny? Let us know your times when you run it.

H22a with exhaust, intake and cams? IDK…

ITR swap if you’ve got the funds.

i have a 180whp motor n/a  that’s getting shafted by it’s fuel system and header…b20vtec ftw!!! hahaha fuck lsv’s, go b20vtec. i made 180 whp, with stage 1 cams and 12.5 to 1 cpr pistons (AKA horrible #s for my setup) my dc header is dented to hell and fuel pump is maxed…200+whp or bust next time i’m on the dyno! y1 lsd tranny on the way. but yea, with 200 whp on a n/a motor can get you into the high 12’s low 13s easy with a lsd y1 tranny imo.

How the hell is an H22A the easiest/cheapest route, like the OP asked?

You just gave him the most expensive/biggest headache route.

If you don’t know $#!T don’t post.

Hmm lets see I did it in my garage.

Costs around 2500$

He already stated he wouldn’t mind a swap. Also the H22a is already 200HP and 160 ft lbs of torque. To build a b series up their N/A its going to alot of money. And on top of that I was making a suggestion.

pics of?

the h22a in your teg.

My thread is in this forum somewhere. Already bored of it.

:owned:

respect is give where respect is due.

Though I still can’t say this is even close to the cheapest/easiest route to a 13 second car.

The motor / mounts / ecu / transmission / axles / wiring harness is definitely over 2500.

I’d rather keep the h22a in my lude where it belongs =)
