190 or 255 lph pump for nitrous?

my stock pump just isnt up to it. Once the kit was installed i lost 10 psi in pressure so i need a diff pump. I wont go turbo sicne i cant afford it at all but i am running nitrous but would a 190 be more than enough for whati wanna do? and we can get to our pumps from under the rear seat right? or do we have to drop the tank?

i heard 190 is a little over stock, go with the 255… i have that and on spray (with a fuel pressure regulator) i got a 12.9-13.0:1 a/f ratio, not bad, kinda like a turbo car… lol…

what regulator are u running? also i though that a stock pump was 150lph? just dont wanna get to big of a pump and not be able to control the pressure

Get the High Pressure 255 walbro…You do hafta drop the tank, and you may as well do the best one while you are in there. I see to it that they go into just about every car that comes into our shop. We sell em for 100 bones with the specific DA install kit.

just installed my 255 lph today and i have nitrous.

does it run rich? i can tolerate a little rich but if its reallly rich and i will need more work to compensate i dont want it

not that i have seen. to early to tell though, no a/f gauge or wideband. but gas consumption is about the same. so i would say it is running normal.

so no black puffs? thanks for your help

we have stock fuel pressure regulators. i’m pretty sure it is regulating the fuel pressure. no definatly no black puffs or any other signs of richness

ok thanks for your info

no problem, it’s really not that hard to put a new fuel pump in, just time consuming

sorry dark i didnt reply earlier… but ya, i puff a good amount of black smoke and the evidence is on my rear bumper, and i lost about .5miles per gallon, added it up after my trip meter, and yeah, i have about 10psi over stock my friend said, i was sleeping and he swung by to do it eary b4 work and he just threw the gauge on and modded it for nitrous, what he had his set at… then he left, so once i talk to him again, its been like 2 or 3 weeks… ill ask him… but ya, i didnt lose to much and now i am running the 65hot hp jet with a 75shot fuel jet, but see it is a little smaller than that so i looked and it is a N20 jet supposebly, or something from a different kit, so i checked the size and it is like a 85hp dry sot fuel jet or so, anyways, after figuring it all out i went to the dyno… so with i/h/e on a B18b1 out of a 94-95 LS with 255lph pump… then the FPR upped like 10 or maybe a little less (like 6) and a p75 ECU i ran a mean 12.7-8:1 A/F ratio (which is awsome), on spray, then i made a significant 211.5 hp at th crank and 235ft lbs of torque at the flywheel also, will someone do the 15% drivetrain loss math and post my wheel hp… it should be 211.5 times .15 equals, then subtract the number from the 211.5 and that will be the wheel hp.

my guesstemation is about… 185ish… thats kinda low on spray, but then again, i am super rich on retarded 1 degree timing and the cam gears were tuned on the butt dyno, so for the reliability and also the lack of money i am running great, after i get 150 bux ill have a final tune for yall…

i don’t know why you are running so rich. i have no black puffs and my exhast dosen’t smell like raw hydrocarbons. i have set my trip meter everytime i fill up and still get 300-350 mile on a tank. that is exactly like it was before i put the walbro 255lph in.

i dont have a problem with it smoking, and i know its black and not blue, so it is gas… anyways… i dont mind it smoking, it means yes, i am running rich… i like it like that, i can spray without worrying about it… cause it gets to about 120 degrees out here and i only run 91, o it keeps everything cool and keeps me from pinging on stock timing, i love it, someone do my whp!!!

179.8 whp.
