Hello everyone, testing waters on my recently purchased db2. Unfortunately I am a bit overwhelmed with all of the projects I have going at the moment. I will keep the car if there isn’t a good offer/ if I have a change of heart. I really would prefer to keep it, but also want it to get the love it needs. Car: 1992 Acura Integra GSR
Color: Aztec Green Pearl
Miles: 154K
The good: All original, with the exception of a radio. It is a really well sorted car, having very little issues and is a great driver, or candidate for a mild restoration. It is very clean for its age, having very little rust. The car was from Florida then stored for several years in WI. It has one spot of rust on the passenger 1/4 panel. The underside is very clean, rust free door seams and rockers. The rear hatch is also free of rust. The interior is in good shape, a few cigarette burns but nothing too bad. Sunroof functions, transmission shifts beautifully, engine starts right up. Heat is hot, and brkes are good as well. It does have the original b17 with ys1 transmission.
The bad: Paint is fading slightly, the infamous ABS light is on, slight oil leakage believed to be from vtec solenoid, cam plug or dizzy o ring. Have not diagnosed quite yet. It leaks, but does not seem to loose any oil level because of it. I am in the process of fixing/diagnosing a small hesitation on acceleration which I believe to be the Catyltic converter. One of the axles is clicking on full turn of the wheel.
Since my purchase I have put some work into the car to get it drivable, I’ve replaced the plugs, wires, intake manifold gasket, oil change, blower motor and resistor, also the air filter. Ive also removed all of the purple faded tint from it with the exception of the rear window that I am still working on!
