2 1/4

Hi,i am currently working on a turbo set up will 2/14 down pipe and cat back already had cat back with this size and don’t have the cash to upgrade yet, will there be a lot of power loss looking to boost 6-7 psi.

Not really…you wont notice anything but improvement over non-boosted

many stock cars come wit small exhaust pipping. So nothing wrong with that. But bigger will be better in this case but work with what you got if money is tight. My friend hasa boosted SIR(SI in US) running a 2.25" catback exhaust on his D16Y8 and it’s fine for decent numbers…

Thanks

when u upgrade to that 3" youre going to notice a huge difference. but initially all youre going to care about is how much faster your car is after boost. good luck

you may want to invest in a wideband A/F so that when you do switch the exhaust out for a larger one you can tweak your tune a little to compensate for the quicker spool and better powerband.

thanks for the input

id venture to say the difference in power between 2.25 and say 2.5 or a lil larger on 6 or 7 psi cant be more than 10 or so hp, which as many other people have said, you wont notice not having when you just gained like 75 hp
