20 years with my GSR

Oh I understand, I drive a black truck haha. If I ever get my car running I just might see you this summer

This is one of the most heart warming things I have read on the internet in general in a long time. Beautiful car. Amazing legacy.

That is the original stock color (Captiva blue) so no need to paint door jams or engine bay.

Rebuild was at 200,000. Machine shop said rest of engine looked great. Just that one scratched up cylinder, but I figured since the engine was out, it was best to completely rebuild it. I figure I can get at least another 200,000 more miles out of her.

Iā€™ve always loved the NSX also. Never driven one though. Must be a blast! I havenā€™t seen one on the road in years. Iā€™m sure most of the remaining ones are tucked safely away in garages

Props! Great story and two awesome cars.

Both are Beautiful cars. Iā€™m just glad i had a chance to see them in person.

You need to go drive one. You will be hooked. Itā€™s like the Integra on steroids. I donā€™t see them a lot up here also. You would think in Florida that there would be more on the road.

glad i saw your cars at the only 1 meet i went to KK in tacoma a few weeks back. i was in a black db1. Both your cars are really nice and glad to see that someone knows how to take care of there vehicles.

Thanks. Hope to see you at some meets this summer.

Wow! Didnā€™t know you were the guy who owned the silver NSX and the ā€œVTCPOWERā€ GS-R! Iā€™ve seen each of them, more so of the NSX, but never even thought that you owned them both. Thatā€™s awesome man! I didnā€™t go to the Krispy Kreme meet a few months back so I didnā€™t see both of your cars together. Seeing this thread made my night (or should I say morning?)! I love the simplicity of your DB2. All of the OEM visors, the original Wings West kit, simple JDM accents, itā€™s immaculate. Iā€™ve also seen your NSX roll around with the decently large NSX group here in WA. When you were talking about the friend who works at the dealer, were you referring to Charles at Acura of Lynnwood?

I have a really good friend who has a Formula red NSX, GruppeM exhaust, staggered RPF1ā€™s, you might know him. I think he knows youā€¦ is your name Chris? Or something along those lines? Iā€™ve seen the NSX at the Acura of Lynnwood meet, Forum Fest, and so on. Always rolling around with Dan, Ekk, Charles, the whole gang. Here are some pictures, of my car and his car.

(Please excuse the cell phone quality pictures)

Crazy that you own both cars, never would have thought so. Keep up the great work man. Hopefully we can meet in person at an upcoming meet!

Iā€™ve never had both cars at a meet. Iā€™ve tried, but I can never get someone to drive my other car at that time. Is that a factory lip kit on the Integra? My name is Brian. I might have met you before, but I am terrible with names and faces. Iā€™ll probably see you this summer at some meets.

Hey man, did your NSX make an apperance at golden gardens with the umbrella crew?

Oh my misunderstanding, I thought you had brought both to the KK meet. I couldnā€™t make it. And shoot, I must be thinking of someone else! My friend who owns the NSX pictured above was talking about a guy named Chris who owned a silver NSX as well. Sorry Brian!

Concerning my car, I only have the 90-91 OEM optional rear lip. My buddy had the full optional lip kit which I can get whenever I want. I have a USRacing front lip and Mugen replica side skirts to accent the OEM rear lip, as well as my Hiro wing. We might have met before, but I donā€™t remember. Hopefully we can meet up this summer!

WhaO ! Iā€™m lost for words lol. You certainly are a truely Acura enthusiast to the fullest, and I mean your cars truly define what the Acura name really stands for, luxury, sport, and world class. By far the cleanest 92 gsr and nsx that I have seen in quite some time. Itā€™s very inspiring for other people like myself for the simple fact that you can live your dreams if you really and truely have the desire to. I hope you still own those cars ten years from now cause they deserve a good owner that knows how to take good care of them. :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

Yes, I was there with them. It was funny, almost everone came running over when we all rolled up. Then we just parked in the middle and blocked traffic. There was a lot of nice cars there. I couldnā€™t believe how many people showed up with the weather as bad as it was.

No problem.

Does your buddy still have it the kit on his car? You should buy it or tell him to sell it to me. I almost put the Hiro wing on about 12 or 13 years ago. But I almost did the racing stripe down the one side of the car also. LOL.

Iā€™m going to try to get both of the cars to the honda-tech meet this summer. Maybe Iā€™ll see you there.

Iā€™ll definately have the NSX. Iā€™ll never sell that thing. Iā€™ll probably have the GSR also. Itā€™s like part of me now. I just need to think of a good license plate for the NSX now.

RE: There are so many options for a making your own license plates these days now that it is so hard to come up with something different, but having those cars as long as you have would be very hard to part with them because they resemble you so much, and youā€™ve grown together and now their a big part of your life. Kind of like a family member that you have grown together through the good and tough times and youā€™ve learned to appreciate each other for so long that itā€™s no wonder why you or anyone else wouldnā€™t want to part or get rid off a car that you have had for so long. That I can truly understand and honestly I canā€™t blame you for wanting to keep them both, at least the NSX like you said.

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m having a hard time with. Coming up with something diffrent to put on there.

Youā€™re my hero!

Another year gone by. I havenā€™t done much, just some maintenance.

I changed the springs out to ground controls to lower it a little more. It looks way better but the ride sucks now. I might have to raise it up a little or maybe try the extended top hats.

I also just changes out both of the axles. One was leaking and the other one was shaking really bad. It got way worse when I lowered it more.

My clutch has been squeaking for about 6 or 7 years and finally got that fixed. I thought it was the spring so I replaced that. Then I changed the clutch pedal bushings. Finally I figured out that it was the clutch cable connector to the clutch pedal that was squeaking. I greased it up so itā€™s quiet now. If that doesnā€™t work for a long time Iā€™ll have to change the cable out and try that.

I also changed out the ICU unit finally. What a pain in the ass. Iā€™ll pay someone to do that next time.

I still havenā€™t decided on what wheels to buy next. Iā€™m liking SSR Type-Cā€™s so I might do those.

loyalty at its best.

Sometimes I just want to drive it off a cliff when things start breaking.
