3" DP pics.....?? Does anyone have any??

Does anyone have any pics of a 3" DP??? I have an idea of how im going to proceed with the project but I was curious of what others have done.

Ill share my idea with the rest.

really??? I guess ill be the first one that done it and posted pics. be back in a few months.

I had one, but I sold the kit to Ralphy (Redline). I am running a 4" downpipe if you wanna see that.

Here’s my 3" Prolly going to a 4" DP tho after new years when I put the new turbo on.

bert3734: Are you running 4" exhaust as well? If so, do you have any pics? I’d love tos ee what’s all done and how the axleback clears the control arm

Nice

I think im going to hack mine up with the plasma cuter and weld in some flat bar.

I will put the pics up tomorrow.

no exhaust just an open downpipe.

where does the dp stop at. Right over the cross member??

Tchleung…WOW!. Awsome looking Set Up. Are you having any issues with OverHeating with the Half Size radiator?

I am looking for a Half Size radiator now because peeps have told me that even with A/C I should be fine.

Nope no overheating issues at all, Works flawless. On long drives on the highway if it’s any cooler then a summer day, the car overcools and starts to cool down too much lmao.

My mods are:

10% coolant
90% water
160* thermostat
14" slim puller fan
1.3lbs rad cap
and a few drops of dish wash soap in the rad

what does the dish detergent do??

Dish soap = Water Wetter

what tires are you running Tchleung? They look like my federals.

Nice looking setup. I’ve also heard that the half sized radiators work fine - but a cooler thermostat is a must. I was thinking of picking up one of those $40 radiators that are OEM replacements on ebay. I already have a set of twin slim fans, 12 or 14", I forget. They throw a lot more CFM than the stock ones and are just over an inch thick.

Yeah they are cheap Fedeal 595s I threw on my wheels. Those are my spare wheels that I roll on hen driving long distances. Otherwise 95% of the time I am rolling on my drag radials and other wheels. And Yes, the federal tires are garbage haha. but they were lke 50 bux a pop haha. If I roll into it in 4th gear they just break loose around 6000rpm. Never mind other gears.

Tch:

got pics of intake piping on the cold side?

This was with my old smaller IC, but it’s still the basic concept, just shortened a bit for the newer longer IC.

I got my federals for cheap. They actually rode really damn nice and seemed to be a good bargain when I first got them. It was raining really really bad and I was on my way to my moms ranch, I would have wrecked with any other tire, they gripped like crazy in the wet and also great in the dry.

Now onto the bad part. My mom lives offroad a bit, and they went over a lot of rocks. One of them got a flat. Then I was in town and hit a pothole, blew a rear one out and bent one of my rims. I was riding with 3 and 1 steelie and got a really bad pull. I’m hoping to get a year out of them, then I will try the next brand.

But they do grip way better than the firestone fuzions (on the car now) when it rains out at least.
