300 WHP Stock LS - Turbo

Well…finally got some time to take my own car to the dyno and she didnt disappoint. I was hoping for 300hp at roughly 1 Bar of boost and I made it. Next weekend is Honda Day at Englishtown (Raceway Park) and hopefully I can take that and put down some good time.

This run was done at just shy of 15psi of boost

Setup is:
Stock B18b Motor
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Hondata IM Gasket
Gude Throttle Body (no idea on the diameter)
Might have cams…I unno…I havent pulled the valve cover at since I got the motor.
Inline Pro T3 Flanged Stainless Steel Manifold
Precision SC34 T3/T04E 57 trim Turbo
Tial 38mm wastegate (7psi spring)
DSM 450cc Injectors
JRC 30" x 6" x 2" FMIC
2.5 Aluminum Intercooler Piping
2.5" Revhard DP with 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust.
18" Resonator with Magnaflow 2.5" Muffler (this fucker is quiet)
My trusty Gus Mahon Home Made Boost Controller

I might be forgetting something…oh yeah, tuned by me on Crome!

Did a baseline run from just my measley street tune and laid down 283whp at 13.5 psi. 1.5 psi more and some slight fuel and timing adjustments and she’s purring like a kitten.

NICE numbers! was that snunk2 manifold bolted to the engine in the black car already and we totally overlooked it? :gayfight:

man that’s the same setup i wanted too, now i know what figures i will be looking at. how much did your setup run you? im waiting for my jdm B18B, should be in in a week.

Not using TE any more?

chris how is the chrome over Uberdata? I’ve only got one version of it but I thought it was confusing to use. I use Uberdata alot, so I haven’t even tried to learn the chrome program.

Yeah…I knew it wasnt stock but I had no idea what it was. Chances are there might be cams in this thing too

Everything is about 2 years old now

  • SC34 ($700)
  • IP Mani ($450)
  • FMIC ($250)
  • 450cc ($50)
  • DP and Exhaust ($400)

I mean I really stopped keeping track of all the little parts. At one point it was close to 5 Gs. The cool thing about the motor is that it was free…and came with all this little mystery goodies that seemed to really help my torque curve :ohyeah:

I converted to OBD1 a while back to learn Uber/Crome and there is just a lot more tunability for someone like myself…especially now with Crome. For someone who doesnt have the need to screw with their setup/tune every week or so though, TurboEdit is great, especially for a non-vtec setup.

It’s Crome, not Chrome

And to give you an idea, I wont tune anyone anymore using Uberdata. It’s so easier to tune with Crome, so many features, a great support group and updates come continuously. For $150 for Crome Pro…you cant beat it. I highly recommend it.

Here’s some shots for all the people that like pictures

And the token H-T shot…

Heh, awesome job Chris! Is your LS/Vtec replacing this motor?
BTW, are these the numbers for when you gave me a ride or did you turn up the boost much? I remember you mentioned running around 7psi low/14psi high but that may have been when you said what you wanted to run. Looks like a good powerband, hella cool man!

Gude tb and the gude chip in the ecu is it possible it has some kind of gude head package?  wouldnt that be something heheh.

We were at about 9-10 when i took you for that ride. Definitely a much bigger difference

It might be…I’m thinking there are probably some Bullfrog cams in there too.

hey I knew I spelled it wrong, but you got my point, anyway I have version 0.09p and 1.1.8r2. I haven’t really looked into much of it but for NON-vtec engines on the new version do you use the P72 map and modify it from there?

I remember when you were at like 5-8 on the b18a and we “road tested” it on the parkway next to that bmw

So you’re still using the 450 cc injectors? Very nice. We should be running the same number whenever I upgrade my turbo. Those numbers are crazy bro. My friend made 300 whp and 295 lbs of tq on a stock LS too but he had a cosmetic HG and ARP studs and he made that power at17 psi with the same turbo you have.

I want to be like Chris when I grow up! :bawl:

PS: All you need is a 92-93 front bumper to bring the exterior of the car back to life

no BOV?

DSM…could be part of the reason my boost seemed to creep a little at the end.

Awesome tuning man. I only wish my curves will be that smooth once I’m tuned. What was your afr at?

atta way Chris!

remember–don’t make any rash decisions. you’ll just end up getting cut. :stuck_out_tongue:

hey i’ll most likely be at englishtown too for honda day. unfortunaltly my motor and boost wont be ready by then… But i’ll remember your ride and definetly try to check you out if im there. I’ll just refer to g2ic so u dont think i’m crazy…lol

AFRs were mid / high 12s entering boost and roughly 12.2 all the way to 15 psi and redline
