8.5: comp with JRSC?

i have a supercharged DA with a stock motor and the main bearing is going out… i got a hold of a “built” block with the compression of 8.5:1 will this be ok and not too low and a jrsc setup on a B18 Non vtec set up with a 9psi pulley?

not trying to steal your post; but out of curiosity, how did you fit the jrsc??

if its too slow, just buy a higher psi pulley and tune for that

I believe 8.5:1 is too low with a JRSC. If anything, I would raise compression with a JRSC. I have a build at home where I am raising compression to about 11.5:1 on a D16z6 with a JRSC at 7psi, and soon to be 9psi!

Anyway, there is a point where the JRSC cannot make boost efficiently after about 11 psi (especially on the M45 blower which comes on the D series and non-vtec B series kits) The Intake temps would be way too hot, the ECU would pull timing, thus lowering your power output. IMO, the fun thing about playing with a JRSC is that it is boost, but at the same time keeping almost all of the characteristics of an N/A powered vehicle.

I just got a jrsc and was wandering about how it fit as well. I know there was an issue with the brake master cylinder/booster wanted to see how you got a round it. I was also wandering if the lht intercooler kit would make a better fit or not.
