8000 rpm

Does anyone think it’s possible to reach 8k rpm with 10psi and stock cams?

sure its possible. you’ll loose power tho at that high of an rpm with stock b18a cams. might also float a valve. and i hope your block is built for that kind of revving.

i wouldnt go any higher then 7000rpm. theres no point with a stock ls head.

So new springs & retainers and a valve job?

asuming for a LS?

its fine

why would you wanna rev non vtec that high?

Someone started a thread about wanting to build a Twin-turbo B18A becuase he wanted something unique. I knew exactly how he feels. I want an 8K rpm LS-Turbo. An R34 GT-R revs to 8k rpm and it ain’t got variable valve timing and only runs 7 psi stock.

I mean you can rev it to 8k on the stock parts but it wont last long. What your trying to do is not something unique. Its been done

The RB motors are built for some what high RPM But dont try taking it past 8500 on the stock valvetrain and block.

On this subject, does anyone know weather the Brian Crower (not to be confused with Crower) FI cams are any good?

too late… already their bro…

i think thats all of it…
oh!!! im running 11.5:1 comp!!!
how bout that?

im still tunning so i dont know how much power im putting down but as of now im happy and i know when its fully tuned i will be even more happy with it… it pulls hard, especially after 5k and it pulls all the way to 8500rpm!!! i love it!!!

^^ You using a girdle? shotpeened stock rods?

yes i have a gridle from a gsr i had the mains rehoned and the crank balanced at a local crank shop… yes shotpeened stock rods… dont forget im only running 10pounds im not looking for the fasted integra around just something fun for me to drive…

I’m acctually planing on using alot of the parts you are such a shotpeened stock rods, supertech valve train, blox intake, even a custom made exhaust although I’m planing on using a Dynomax resonator and muffler and only 8psi and and nowhere near 11.5:1 CR!?!

yeah the stuff is cheaper but real good quallity… its good stuff. the car feelsgreat and you will be happy if all turns out right…
