I just bought a turbo teg, it’s a 90, and I was reading on a website someone posted up on here that for the 90 tegs we can’t have FMIC’s? the guy I bought it off of has MR2 intercooler with custom vents in the hood as of right now, what I heard is that I would need to cut the frame?? to get a FMIC to fit… I would end up modifying the stock front bumper anyway. and if I can’t do it, anyone have any ideas on someway to reduce the underhood temp around the intercooler such as sprayers or a custom heatshield?? I’ll post pics within the next week
converting to the 92-93 bumper solves a lot of problems…that’s what I did…you’ll still have to cut some metal off the bumper support
when mounting a front mount you are almost always going to have to cut into the frame and/or bumper, on any car.
just wondering, is it an intercooler that sits on top of the motor flat? i’ve never seen one of them installed on a honda.
it doesn’t sit on top of the motor, WRX style, it’s where the intake would be, a little bit down from the passenger side strut tower… it’s about 12’ 12’ and I’ve cut two 10 inch long holes in the hood for the intercooler, I’ll post pics up in about a week or so
