90 teg w/b20 turbo?

hey guys im new on the board and just got a 90 teg and w/b20b. i know im going to get flamed for asking but does anyone know of a turbo kit for this motor? would the b18a1 kit work? any help would be thankful. peace :burnout:

yes any of the B18A1 kits work. here check this out www.turbo-kits.com . there prices are outrageous but this is just to give you an idea. anything 90-93 Integra will work.

i wouldnt consider boostin the B20 due to weak sleeves!

but i suggest doing a SEARCH on here or Honda-tech, lots of threads about it
why or why not… mumbo jumbo!

everyone’s opinion is different!

i got a turbo b20b ina 90 integra! im selling the hondata i was runign to get a free standalone program soo i can learn to tune but uhhhhh yea b20b turbo is fine if tuned and is not boosted to the max,… be safe and dont listen to everything u read

yeah i heard about the thin sleeves, but would it be able to handle 6-8 psi(no more than that) without tuning and a block guard? thanks for the info guys.

you can do the 6-8 without the blockgaurd but you really need some type of tuning even if it’s street tuned. chipped ecu’s and free programs is your best bet. http://forum.pgmfi.org/

It’s not that the sleeves are thinner. If you ever look at a b20 block the sleeves look A LOT thicker than LS sleeves. It’s the design that is the weak link…
Chris

what do you mean the design is the weak link? just trying to learn more about my car.thanks

all the sleeves are interconnected, Its kinda weird but with combustion pressure really high near the top of the sleeve it tends to push out on sleeves right next to it and cracks them :frowning:

wow :corn:
if my engine blows, thats what i want

that is pretty nice, makes me wonder if my 460’s are gonna be enough for 300whp, but it looks like he is running the stock fpr, so i can always turn it up a bit

where did you get 460’s from? do you mean 440’s or the dsm 450’s?

the shop that builds and tunes our motors said that the b20’s will last but most people try to rev them past 7400 rpms i believe and thats when problems start happening.

the 460’s are from an rx7, im selling my whole kit, everything you need, only thing extra needed is a tapped oil pan, someone should buy it

oh ok. lol learn something new everyday.

BUMPING for a problem-less boosted B20…!! i speak from experience I drive it daily not one problem… Not to be hating but a lot of people act like they personally had every problem they read about…

I lied 1 problem … cold and snowy in chicago + B20T = zero traction

u in chicago? lol…hit me up on aim…Blackg2teg

thanks for the guys that are helping, but i would appreciate it if everyone else would not caryy on a conversation back and forth,so i can get some help.thanks all
