92-93 Gsr Production Numbers
I’ve got Black 1993 GSR #083 with engine number #080.

Hey redline9500…do you have any history of my car recorded?
No, unfortunately not, the closest ones I have are #74 and #99 Both Black and Currently in Quebec. Do you have pictures of your 93?? That’s one rare DB2

The car is in storage right now. I have these two pics from before storage …

I came across this Black 93 GSR #078 at the Honda-Tech 7 meet in Toronto, ON

This further confirms the fact that GSRs were produced sequentially in similar colors.

Damn… Both cars look so damn clean, props for keeping them in such shape.

I’ve only seen one other clean DB2 in Toronto, teal one in Markham. Would love to hear from other local GS-R owners

Kamran-- I received your email about my research. I’ll be sending you an email in the next few weeks. I have a favour to ask you – would you be kind enough to post up what the Honda Client Services Specialist wrote back to you when you inquired about the number of GS-R’s made? There were a few non believers on G2IC about if the cars were made in sequential order. His response verified this and you should post it up!

PS-- beautiful car sir, repainted or no?

Nice GS-R!! That’s definitely a keeper. And that #78 too…beauty. I wonder if the owner is a g2ic member?

Some more Black 93 GSR pics…I found this car for sale on kijiji in Toronto, ON a few months ago. It was one owner, never winter driven, low kms, and very very expensive. The pics seem like they were taken a while back (maybe in the 90s sometime).

Appreciate your help man. I think it was sprayed in 06. Below is the email I got from Honda Canada in response to my letter asking them to advise on production numbers for 93 GS-Rs:

Subject: Acura Integra Inquiry

Thank you for your letter to Acura Canada, received in our office on September 24, 2010. Regrettably, Acura is not in a position to provide production numbers on your Integra as such information is not readily available in our database. However, since the Vehicle Identification Numbers are sequential, we can confirm that your vehicle is number 138, as indicated by last 5 numbers of your VIN.

Best regards,

#119 black gs-r is dead!
my brother was going to fix’er up but there was way too much rust and had fuel leaks.(rotten lines) saved what was good. (interior, engine and trans).

And why didnt you pull the hatch/glass ?:bored: I love all the black GSRs in here. this is slowly becoming my favorite thread.

the original hatch was replaced years ago. previous owner, must’ve been in an accident. cause it had the third brake light on the glass as well as the spoiler.

Wonder how many of the 4825 GS-R’s are represented here @ g2ic…

Not enough :bye:  :argh:

Are there 4825 gsr’s really? I thougut there was only 2500.

Ya I’m not sure how the whole “2500” number became so popular, but it’s definitely incorrect… there was 3968 made for sale in the USA and 857 in Canada. Regardless, it’s still a very low number. They are listed as limited production cars in most States/Provinces and you could get collector plates for GS-R’s after only 15 yrs here in Canada

The car in this joke video I made is Canadian 1993 #59. Some kid crashed it. It is now in car heaven :frowning: But we used the parts to save the other one in the video!

How much were they asking for this car? Anyone have more info on it?

Hey man - what’s the deal with the collector plates in Ontario? I thought cars had to be 20 years old?

Awesome thread! Mine is a Canadian '92 AGP DB2, #320!

kamran, it varies by province, in Alberta it has to be at least 25 years old to be considered “antique” before you can run collector plates.
