92-93 Gsr Production Numbers

It really depends. In BC it has to be 25 years also, but there is an exception – If your car is considered a “limited production vehicle” Then you are eligible for collector plates after only 15 years. The GS-R qualifies - I know someone with collector plates on a GS-R

Hmm, would be interesting to find out if Alberta has something similar…I suppose a call to the registries is in order!

Have any dirt on my DB2? I actually think it was carfaxed 2 previous owners ago, but it would be nice to cross reference with your history of it if you have it!

Ya let us know what you find out. I bet Alberta has something similar. All I have written for your car - 1992 #320 - Green -Edmonton. So most likely nothing too alarming came up or I would have written it down. I usually wrote notes if it had low or high kms or if it had been crashed at one point etc… I didn’t write any of that

Appreciate the research you have done for the community!

Off-topic: Hey redline9500 was it you that created a thread about DA specific catalogs and magazine articles youve collected? It was from a couple years back. Just wondering.

No problem, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s really too bad that Carfax doesn’t let you run unlimited VIN #'s anymore. In the past I could just pay 40 bucks and keep running GS-R vins all day, now they only let you run a few! Brutal :frowning: I would have liked to do all the USA cars at some point as well…

Don’t know if it has come up elsewhere on the site, but as of last August 92 #1595 (MR) was still alive in Allentown, PA. I was looking for a daily driver and since my father lives down there he checked out the car for me, but it would have needed significant work to be a reliable DD, so I didn’t buy it. Engine code of the engine in it was 1301332.

im kinda new to g2ic, but i got '93 #189 with 172xxx original miles on it. suppose to be aztec green but previous owner painted it some kind of gray. my brother had a '92 but he sold it to my cousin, dont know the # though. i’ve always wanted a 92-93 gsr since i was 14 and now im only 19, and as soon as i saw the car for sale for $2900, i jumped on it. any information on mine?

Oh right on. Welcome to the scene  However I don’t any information on your car, most of my information is about the Canadian cars

#1638 Checking in just bought her

R1

Hell yeah Eddie! Can’t wait to see her next Sunday…

Well I stumbled upon this thread today and it gave me hope for the future of these beautiful cars, i see many people still lovingly care for them. Unfortunately the one i picked up last year didnt have an owner of sort. JH4DB2384NS002580 is currently in the process of being brought back to life. Ive always wanted one and when i saw her i couldnt pass her up. Currently in the southern part of north carolina rescued from daytona beach FL. I bought her for $800, thats testimony enough to the condition she was in.

db2 #478 checkin in.hopefully i can get pics up soon.

#468 Here

#420 still rolling
Refreshed B17A
Exedy stage 2 clutch
Fidanza 7.5 lbs flywheel
S1 Trans
Ractive cat back
Air intake
Short shifter
Tokico Illumina shocks
Ractive Coil overs
Ingals camber kit
and lots more

just picked up a 1993 Canadian GSR #36 !!! Still clean for the most part, no serious rot or rust, not all banged up. Motor is unmolested, only mods were shitty coilovers which i have already removed. Get pics up soon!

I have #22 not the same motor but tran

Such a beautiful collection of these. I currently have an rs with a b17 in it, and love it, I’m looking for a db2 shell to toss my motor in, the hunt begins, as I feel the motor needs a gsr body to be truly at home.

#1175 from new york with original leather option

1751

Recently picked up #1751. Aztec Green 92. Bought it from the 2nd owner’s husband. Everything original, 'cept for the Econo respray. 125K miles on the B17. Been in St Pete, FL since new. Still has the tape deck. Lightly tapped in the front. I already got all the replacement parts (local guy was parting out a 93 AGP DB2… what are the odds?). So Im waiting to throw on the Hood, Bumper, Lights and hatch. So right now I have 2 hoods, 2 front bumpers, 2 hatches (with spoilers), 2 sets of headlights, 2 sets of tails and 2 rear seats. Then maybe get her painted back to her original AGP or maybe let her go before I dump more money in…

#1612 checking in. Just picked her up last month for my 31st birthday as a present to myself. I had a 92 Frost White GS in High School and College. Sold her in College because I bought a truck and didn’t think that I could have afforded the insurance on 2 vehicles. Turns out I could have. I regreted selling her everyday from that day. I knew that one day that I wanted another DA to have a project to restore. I stumbled across this agp db2 with 160k original miles with a fresh paint job, newer tires, newer brakes, new timing belt, water pump, belts, clutch, throw out bearing, carpet (bad job), spark plugs, wires, and windshield.
