92BlueTeg's All Motor ITB build and restoration thread

hey 92blueteg, would you ever consider selling those buddy club p1s?

I sold them a while back. Extra funds for the build. Sorry. They were 17’s anyway. Most people hate 17’s nowadays.
Haven’t heard about the move yet, they keep telling us with in two weeks we will know but, theyve been saying that for 3months. There’s always some delay in politics.

Yup, I decided to stick with the ls block, now that I got the rods for it im sticking with my original block. Turbo all the way at this point. 9:1 wiseco pistons all waiting for a fresh machined block. I think the turbo and the rest of the accessories to it are going to be the hard part, money’s hard to come by. Wait for a good deal and jump when I can.
Glad to see the teg is being worked on! drive by it almost every day, the tarp doesnt do it any justice. this thing sounded great when id pass you in woonsocket back in the day. cant wait to see what it sounds like now, GLWTB

FWIW, i got a 99 LS block bored out to 81.5mm that im not using any more if you need it. just let me know.

:corn:

Thanks man, I would be interested in the block but the pistons are for stock bore. :frowning: now I have to hope all I need is a hone.

Picked up some more goodies at a good price.

Can’t decide on which turbo to use, the turbonetics or the master power. I need to do some measurements to see what sizes everything is. The master power model is s50 but the site is under construction. And the turbonetics is an older version, t-1 series so they don’t have info on it.

Drag Mani with tial 38mm wastegate

Masterpower s50. Very minimal up and down shaft play, then again there’s no oil it

Turbonetics. Needs rebuild. Shaft play up and down, slight amount back and forth. No signs of fin damage.

Hks ssq BOV.

Also grabbed some RC 440cc injectors

Nice Bryce! It’s starting to come along. For a block over 50k Miles I’m 99% sure that you will need a rebore to level out the cylinders. You going to bring your stuff to stuff to Russ?

Yea, I’m hoping to. I need to sell a few things to get the funds first. Biggest issue is I keep getting wild cards thrown at me, everytime I go to tear it out I have to put it back together enough to be able to start it.

At the least I finally got the drivers side tuck done, passengers done minus bringing the engine harness in. I’m not happy with the way the engine harness came out so I want to redo it. But I feel it’s going to come out better with the engine out. Also relocated the battery to the trunk last weekend!

It’s cold out and I finally got my material in the mail today. Gray microsuede! Can’t wait to get it in the car this spring!

One less project to worry about

headliner came out great. ive been watching this thread and im loving the updatesc keep em coming

Thank you. Ive been following you thread as well. I used your wiretuck write up also  thank you for that!

I get depressed coming to this site and seeing people enjoying their DAs. As much as I love the Rsx it’s just not the same.

Just doing a little stalking. Was hoping this thing would be boosted by now. Another captiva blue with my old turbo parts. I miss my G2. But the STI and Talon have been keeping me busy. Any reason why you ditched that amazing ramhorn I sold you for a Drag? That manifold is the balls…

Nope, didn’t ditch it. Grabbed a full kit with two turbos a tial and hks bov. I’m in the processes of getting rid of the drag manifold plus one of the turbos

Picked up a b17 gsr ys1 trans! Just couldn’t pass it up for the price.

Nice Pickup!!!
This has just been slower than I thought. Life’s always getting in the way. But I have some updates.

Quick test fit, of course it will be more hidden. But waiting to pull the motor for that.

And a new addition, picked up some wiseco 9:1 pistons on manley “turbo tuff” rods. Got a super sweet deal I couldn’t pass up.

I’m waiting to hear what the deal is with the city supposedly wanting to buy out houses in my area. I had planned to pull the motor this month and get the block machined, but instead I will be putting things back together just in case I have to start the car and move…somewhere else.
where’d you get that wire ‘loom’ from?

Loving this build man, are you planning on a semi build or a fully built beast ? just curious cause it reminds me of my car alot.

Wire loom is g-sleeve by mr. Gasket.

I was planning a built motor, minus sleeves. But it looks like I’ll be putting the turbo setup on hold…the Rsx just got a transplant of half the DA’s turbo stuff since my manifold cracked and turbo went. So I’m getting a little annoyed with dealing with turbo problems right now. Im probably going to throw a n/a motor in since i have most everything including stage 3 cams sitting around. Moneys too short to finish a turbo build right now, and I’ll only do it if I can do it right. I really want to get it back on the road, it did just hit its classic plate year!

I’ll probably build a side turbo motor to put in as a second build. A project cars never done

I’m itching to get some stuff done! I installed the headliner, sunroof shade needs work since it’s not sliding smooth. But it got way to cold lately to do anything. Can’t wait till spring

The pig that has been keeping me from working on the Teg, I hate having to keep the daily happy. It’s always stupid problems. I got more of my style into it though.

Good to hear you’re likely putting an NA motor in the DA

only way to go, for the old school cars, anyway. Boosted RSXs are hot. I’ve always been a fan of all motor 90’s Hondas. Keep up the good work.

You know, I think since I’ve graduated and got a little older I started to realize that more also. Everyones gone turbo with DA’s lately but i’ve been seeing some very nice all motor builds in the 90’s hondas that look so fitting and clean. I guess I’ve gotten my boost bug out with the RSX, I rarely even hit boost in it anymore…heck I drive 65 on the highway now lol
