I’ve recently done a turbo set up.
t3 turbo, Xspower manifold (even tho you guys recomended no, I’ve got another on back up), turbonetics waste gate, Fmic, Hks ssqv STYLE bov (got it off ebay). 2.5" innercooler piping. Heres my question, My turbo is pointed down on the charge side, And it keeps blowing the coupler in half. I tried pvc pipe (considering I seen a grand national using pvc) But it just warps and pops. I ordered an obx boost coupler (90) with a hump. Will this continue to do what all the others have? or will my problem end with this coupler?
I’ve got it set up for 8 psi when it blows all the other couplers.
The 90 will fix your problems. It sounds like yours is ran like mine. It was never intended to use a straight coupler off the turbo with it turned down. I have a 90 degree clamped with a regular worm clamp pushing 15psi on a t04e with no issues.

had the same problem, fixed it with pretty much the same solution, im running 8 but i just picked up t-clamps for all my c/p so… w/e works for you 
it’s over kill but looks a little better…not that my setup is prettyto begin with lol OH and the ebay hks SSQ…not good, I had one and i personally found that it does not release the air fast enough, once i got a real HKS one i noticed the c/p wouldnt pop off as often but still did until i fixed it with the 90 degree. so id say get the real one:) backspool sound fun but not so fun for the turbo.
I was told the wastegate would mainly take care of that?? But I appreciate all help. This is my first turbo setup and I’d like to get it right. I’ll post pics as soon as the parts in.
Okay, I got the new 90 on, and then I ran it down the road and everything held up just fine. Only had one problem. It started to lean out, and cutout/ backfired. The boost gauge said it was headed for 10 psi. So I let out and put another waste gate in with a smaller spring. 5 - 8 psi. But heres the next problem. Im pretty sure that xs power manifold was junk. And now im starting to realize the reality. quality sucks with cheap. At the flange on the manifold to bolt the turbo on, It blew off. :O. Ive got another ramhorn manifold that im puttin on. But I wanted to let everyone else know what happed. Also could it be that wastegate?
The xs mani broke on you and your pretty sure its junk? Shall we go through a couple more manifolds just to make sure?
Good luck with the setup though man. haha and its ok im using a cheap manifold too, an ebay cast one. Looks just like the blox mani
lol. Im putting the turbonetics wastegate on also. Hopefull this elemiates the problem.
