cut the TOP PIECE of the ek side that would go inside the ek door: draw a line from end to end to make it straight
cut all EXTEND AREA PIECE of the bottom of the ek side to make it flesh
line up the ek side from back to front next to the side of the car to see if its flesh: make ur marking to cut the front piece
option: i use the orginal holes on the bottom of the ek sides and drill holes under the car to mount them: and u can also drill new holes to make it stronger
u should be done after these steps…
option rear lip: u could use a 94-95 honda accord rear lip… looks awsome… but the rear lip needs to be moded also…
man i wish i found this earlier, i just got done doing this. i went to the junk yard and found a DA with these on them but one was trashed so i took the good one and found antother one off an ek. got them cheap like 14bucks. one was already cut so i just matched the cuts… insted of cutting the top straight i just put it under the door. its not touching or rubbing fits perfect and makes it look cleaner. the only parts i cut were the inside tabs and about 3 inches off the back. and i took 2 inches off the front to keep my mud flaps. the only problem i found was on the ek the front bends out so i took a heat gun and melted them into shape. i’ll get pics asap
also i used alumin cutters. pretty much big siccsors. also used a file.
i kept my mudflaps by cutting the skirts to the shape of the mudflap and then taking a heat gun to the skirt and melt it towards the car. its kinda hard to explain.
how did i kept my mudflaps???
by cutting the rear lip to the shape of the mudflap.
i’ll b doing the same with the side skirts.
as soon the im done ill post new pics.
^^That’s a fine looking car, good job!! I like the wheels. Here is a gallery of my car I did a while back. 92-93 type r lip, civic skirts, and accord rear lip.
n about the front lip, i havent decide if i sure get the mugen style or the type r.
