A/C Turbo discussion

im going through my first turbo conversion and my aim is to keep the a/c and p/s now doing this im going to use the short intercooler route with the inlet and outlet for the intercooler to be on the same side like in this thread

http://g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181191

the problem now is the condenser i cant fit my manifold on with the condenser in place. is it possible to change the condenser and what sort???

thanks alot guys

The manifold is key component to keeping the AC and PS.
Which manifold are you working with?
Any pics of your situation?
-r0ni3.

im using the stainless steel manifold found on ebay… it doesnt look as tight as some of the other manifolds i have seen and i really shouldve used a internal gate for easier installation

but as it is atm the gate pipe hits on the condenser and this is without a gate…

this is where i think if i move the condenser i have more space and therefore i can then fit the gate. if you look at the setup on the thread shown previously the radiator has been moved across and there isnt a condenser at all because of the removale of the a/c but also beecause it wouldnt fit…

ill try get a picture of the manifold i have
this is close
this is the obx one but mine is a little longer where the gate is but u can see that the gate comes through the front and thats where the problem begins

After looking at the pic of the manifold in that link, I kinda see your dilemma.
Don’t move the mountain out of the way…
It might be cheaper to have a shop move the mounting point of the wastegate than try to relocate the ac condenser.

im going to use a civic condenser because itll fit… now my drama is the turbo doesnt fit and hits the side of the block and on the bellhousing can u shedd some light on it please

shave the block with a angle grinder
