3D Printed Parts - Current offerings, ideas, support, requests.

I will purchase the 3D printer this week. This is after many weeks of reading, watching videos, getting reviews from colleagues etc. I hope to get things up and running before the end of October. I already have a list of items to design and print, but feel free to drop your suggestions as well.

3D Printer is here. Will post pix once I’m safe from the hurricane.

Safe from hurricane. Test printed a sample part. Looks good. Just need to get the computer software running and I can start churning G2IC parts again.

I am partnering with another company to scan some parts. I am sending some random, small-ish interior parts to get the overall dimensions and surfaces. Stay tuned to respective threads for updates.

The package was mailed today. I’ll report updates as they arise.

I updated the images for the cowl redirector and the battery brace and included some explanation to the “installed” photos for clarity.

I also added some prototype parts that will be available soon.

it would be cool to have the little ball that goes on top of car antennas. but have the g2ic logo on it

I had another issue with the 3D printer where the filament roll didn’t release to automatically accept a new roll. Two parts wasted.

I feel like the filament manufacturers really took a dive in their quality the past few months. I have to babysit EVERYTHING now.

I received a new filament dryer that should improve the quality of parts produced. It’ll take some time to setup but should help with the more humidity-sensitive materials (i.e. the high-temperature ones).

I’m getting a filament feed error which is preventing me from printing any parts. I’ve disabled the ability to purchase parts for the time being. Hoping to fix the issue this weekend. Thanks for your patience.

Store is back open.

Apologies for the delay in getting stuff printed and mailed. I had to go out of town last weekend and everything gets backed up. For those that donated, you should see tracking numbers beginning Saturday.

Shipping update:

I have orders from 21 June that are currently printing / packing. Please remember that I do this with my free time, which is why I have a 1-2-week lead time before shipping on the G2IC Store page. (This isn’t my full time job and I work this solely for the love of the car and the enthusiasts, and no profit goes to me.)

Unfortunately, my free time lately has been extremely rare.

You will receive an email with tracking information from PirateShip once your package is processed. Everything is mailed via USPS.

This only applies to 3D-printed part orders. Clothing, mugs, etc. are handled separately and do not go through me. Those items are shipped separately.

Thanks for understanding, and I appreciate everyone’s patience. Feel free to contact me via email or SMS/text message for updates should you need any.
