go to http://superlumination.com
this is where I got my 24s, 194s, & 74s. They have many colors:
green
UV (blacklight)
purple
red
blue
yellow
super white
When you go on just take the time to get the right bulbs. I found out the hard way. To get the right look & color coordination, you need the super wides. They cost $7 for each 194,(you only need 2) but it’s well worth it. The light spread is great & uniform throughout the cluster. I’ve redone this 3 times until I got the super wides. Now I have the light I want. :burnout: :manual:
Sorry I took so long; I’ve been real busy lately. Oh well, here they are:
This is with reg LED 94s, red incandesent 24s (the only colored 24s around), & Red LED 74s. Upper light diffuser not removed. {note: all interior lights are on in pic. They were too dark to get a pic w/o the int. lights on. Can’t see needles like this either.}
This is with super wide LED 94s, red 24s, (same as above) & red LED 74s (same as above) Upper light diffuser removed. { note: NO int. lights on. This is all Bulbs baby! It is a richer red in person.}
I’m gonna try putting the diffuser back & adding some aluminum foil to spread out light. The upper 74s are a little too bright for me. The foil should give a happy medium.
BTW- needles are painted w/ flouresent orange paint. I also have an aluminum bezel on too, so light reflects easily. :burnout: :manual:
If you’re askin this question then you REALLY don’t search do you? It’s been covered up & down on here. But I still got you:
Cluster bulbs:
194 (quan. 2)
24 (quan. 3)
74 (quan. 2)
All these can ve found at any Walmart or auto store. Just get 194NA & 24NA.
The NA means Natural Amber. The 74s aren’t available in amber, but just color the light diffuser (blue cover, you’ll see) w/ an orange marker. Also if you get flouresent orange paint & do the needles, it looks badass in day & night.
Foglights:
H3 35w
These do not come in amber, just yellow. Or you can do the “Legend fog trick”
as posted in TEG TIPS & use white ones. If you get JDM 1 pieces then they have the yellow lense in them already.
Maybe you mean the turn signal bulbs, or the bumper lights? The turn signals are the 194NA. The bumper lights are NA as well (forgot the size)
The amber 74s are available @ my fav LED site, the tired & true http://superlumination.com
Believe me, they rock! I’ve done this mod 4 times using diff. combos of their bulbs, & none of them have been anything but badass. Just did it so many times cause I was unsure of what I wanted, til now. :burnout: :manual:
ok today I bought the H3 70W for my fog lights…from what it shows on the cover, its going to be very yellow…you said to get h3 35w…how much of difference is it going to be from the h3 70w? for the color wise to amber?
ok help pls…soo i havent read nuthin bout the lil tiny “climate control button” BULBS! all i see is 194s, 24s, 74s? and from comparing the bulbs, thos $h!ts are hella small!? and i see pics of these guys doin it? soo help pls wid the climate control buttons bulbs pls??? i been check out that superlumination site. help pls. also are the guys doin this using leds? or glass 1s?
I thought about changing mine out when I take out the stupid white faced gauges the Teg i’m buying comes with, but I’m not sure what color to go with. The Teg is red, but I do NOT want red, I think that is the worst color to look at during nighttime. I really like white, it’s very easy to read. I like the color of the clock but I have no idea if it’s possible to get bulbs like that. I might just change the needle color…

I know you didnt just change the bulbs on yours, and i THINK i remember you posting something about this a while back on honda-tech, but i cant find it anywhere.
Im not asking you for a write up or anything, but could you give a brief explanation as to how you achieved that nice uniform amber throughout the cluster?
thanks.
can anyone tell me what the third plug small yellow one on the back of the jdm cluster does the small plug behind the tachometre on the left hand side, i am from australia and am swaping the jdm cluster in but when i pulled my cluster i only have the two long plugs that go up the top plus the spedo cable, the yellow plug has a big black circle next to it in a transparrent case sorry cant post pics, bear in mind this is a manual cluster, just wondering what function that third plug does and if its going to affect anything
so know one knows what the plugs responsible for… and i thought this was a tech site… dammm shed some light peoples i know someone out there knows what the plug is responsible for bearing in mind this is the jdm cluster is manual and has the small yellow plug behind the tacho, so anyone know what its function is
