another db2 attempt!

too many people break the k tuned ones, and i also hate the way it looks… the fastline is perfect, its solid as hell, great position, and a great shifting feel as well

Just went through this. Nice work! Car looks great.

thanks! means alot coming from you buddy

Huh, I hadn’t heard of that happening. I’ve got one in my GS-R and love it for the adjustability but I guess that does create weak points. Now I’m a little concerned and have to go take a look at it…

ok i see. i think the pro-circuit series has improve alot from the 1st gen. but fastline deft is a great product! if i didn’t get a deal on the pro-circuit, i would of went for the fastline. lol

well managed to get the damn abs delete done!! time to start pushing forward again i miss driving her so bad!!

car finally rolls and has brakes!! tomorrow toss on the intake manifold. fix one corners ride height, eyeball alignment and try to make appointments to get a cat welded in and a proper alignment so i can start daily driving this damn car already!

also installed my spoon tranny drain plug and put in some new pennzoil syncromesh

Looking clean

but today i did manage to get the car to fire up… first few start ups the car revved to 8k and i just shut it down… thought it was the IACV so replaced it and same shit was still happening… so figured the intake manifold gasket wasn’t sealing so went ahead removed it again and put honda bond on both sides of it… but now the car is idling at 4k lol… i am assuming it is the seats where the injectors sit into the manifold allowing air in. will test it tomorrow with some carb cleaner to confirm or deny. as for now i just have the iacv unplugged and let the idle bounce from 1200-1500 so i can move it lol

yay! she idles, and i drove it today, still open header till i get a pipe made to connect the header and tanabe, but she runs and drives!! so excited hopefully after my houston trip i can start daily driving her again!

just needs and alignment and a cat welded to the flanges i have to make it all removable…

my thread seems to have died, but here is some more pics. shes finally back on daily driver status. love this tanabe catback… so quiet!!

I like that lip. I think I’m going to run the same one once I get my bumper fit over the intercooler.

nice, last time i talked to him he had them in stock…

Very nice build thread. I remember seeing you on the DA9Mafia page on FB (gosh that place is a joke) Keep it up, loving this car.
