adding some spray to my car soon wanting to get some input on how much to add and what not.
heres some of wat im working with: b16A, block gaurd, je pistons somewhere around 8:1, eagle rods, turbonetics t3/t4 turbo, 680 precision injectors, currently running wastegate (8lbs) so im ganna add nitrous either with a wot switch or my msd window switch. im curious about wat shot to run. i dont hit full boost til about 5500rpm and obviously nitrous will speed this up but im not sure on wat shot to put on it and if i should use 2 stages or 1
are you running a short-geared tranny? If so the nitrous is gonna be real hard to keep the tires from lighting up. Anyways i think a 100 shot would be more than enough. Also, i wouldnt think nitrous would be of any use in the first two gears so i wouldnt use a WOT switch. My $.02
A WOT switch could work, but that is if your ECU knows what gear you’re in, and can only spray once you get to the desired gear. Even then, you should still have an on/off switch, but really I’d just have an on/off switch. But to be, a cool way to do it is to wire in your horn lines so when you arm your Nitrous, your horn disables, and the horn button becomes your spray button. I’ve seen it before, and it’s super trick, haha.
ive decided to start with a 50 shot and work my way up unfortunately i have a close geared tranny but im ganna run a wot and of course i have a on/off switch its mounted under the cd player so i can arm it just as i shift into third and i dislike buttons… id rather have both hands on the wheel and its too difficult to shift gears and then try to grab the button again to spray ill post up some times as long as i can get my dyno tune done in time for the track thanks guys

keep the jet small and use it to help spool the turbo then shut it down when the turbo spools up. that should help you get into full boost a lot sooner and you can use it in the lower gears aswell.
ya ill have to play around with it but i just found out my tune is gana cost a bit more than expected so its been put on hold ill keep u guys updated tho

I’m running two systems: One is an intercooler spray bar setup(5lb bottle) hooked up to a WOT switch, and the other is a dry 50 shot(hidden 10 0z) into the air filter on a momentary switch on the steering wheel. The fifty shot is very noticeable:) especially from a roll, good times-
With a built block, your options are endless, but imo, anything more than a 75 shot on the street is useless without traction, but you knew this with a boosted da, i’m sure- BTW, both systems were incorperated into the tune with an s300, so i have a little more piece of mind when jumping on it…
