just wondering if anyone saw this manifold, and if maybe this one will be good.

It says that the welds and materials are good quality, and it wont crack, but everyone says that.

this part is funny (like that will help them sell anything) :

OH YEAH - OUR LOGO IS A HOT CHICK - OBX IS OF A SHMUCK

One of my best friends just got this manifold the other week. Design looks pretty cool, but the welds look like bird shit. We decided to try it out anyway since we can fix it if it cracks or breaks. I’ll keep you informed how it holds up.

dose the oil dip stick fit and can you just to it because in the pic you cant even see it

sure hope it fits :stuck_out_tongue: my car uses a bit of oil, i need to monitor it :x

I bought that manifold about two months ago, looks pretty good, but I had to do a little grinding on the inside of some of the runners near the head flange. One of those finishing details they didnt do. Also, the turbo does NOT fit (t3/to4b). I’m going to have to cut off the turbo flange and reweld it on at an angle and modify the dp to fit too. I’m going to brace it also to avoid problems, but otherwise for the price I think you can’t beat it. I havnt installed it yet, but right now it sure makes for a fancy paper weight!!!

what do you mean the turbo didnt fit. Did you try and rotating it?? was the compressor housing touching something?? curious. I always wondered if 2.9mm thick was thick enough??

make a bracket from the turbo to the block(where oem header bolts to), to take some stress off the mani and it may hold up longer.

yea, the compressor housing hits right by where the transmission bolts up on the block, and the inlet for the turbo is blocked by that part of the block also.

i dont know if this would help but did u try re clocking the turbo… it could get u some clearance…
josh

if anything, try mounting it the other direction, toawrds the driverside, ot putting the bulk of the turbo towards the front of the car instead of the back, after clocking the turbine housing.

the flange is to close to the block so it hits the trans.

i had that problem with a manifold i did. i re-welded the flange, looked like shit so i got a new one.

u always get what u pay for.
