This product has been released for some time now and I have seen little in the way of reviews or comment as to how it performs or matches up with your expectations.
What has it done for your rear suspension?
What has it done for your car towards push on initial turn-in?
Push on mid corner?
Push on corner exit?
What is your front suspension made up of?
Does it balance with your front setup?
I have read some disappointing comment regarding product packaging and product finish, are you satisfied?
Tell us about your new ASR anti sway bar and rear sub frame brace beyond it look nice and handles good!
may be a little early to tell now. Auto-x and track doesn’t start for a few more months for me so i didn’t install it yet. But i will definitely put it to the test.
As for the refinish on the brace. Its perfectly fine. especially for something that is going to be under the car 3" from the ground and basically hidden from view. The “slight” stained anodized finish in some areas is minimal at best. purely cosmetic.
I ordered one but havent had the time to put it on, plus im trying to finish up my engine as well.
Anyhow, as far as packaging and the finish, I didnt expect it to be perfect. Packaging and shipping was perfect IMO. As with any product, people are giong to complain, its what they do.
I’m eager to get it installed, I want to see how it feels on the car. The piece looks amazing as far as fabrication goes.
I dont have any review of how the product performs. I did however, get around to installing it tonight. And on that note, I will say the install is easy.
My only complaint thus far is the fact that the rear sway rest atop the bar. I was under the impression the brace would work without issue even with the stock rear sway bar.
It’s cold, not a lot of members I guess do shit like this during the winter.
directly from ASR, before weksos bought the remaining ones.
mine is still sitting in the closet. Its way too cold to start working on the car.
friends w/heated garages are nice!
After putting mine on I didnt notice anything. I suspect that’s due to the fact I retained use of my stock sway bar until I can go bigger…
just bought mine and in the middle of installing it. i need to go to the store for drill bits. but i will finish tomarrow. the only thing i noticed about the packaging was one of the brackets had a sratch on it but like it was said before it will only be 3" off the ground and not to many people will notice it. i ordered mine from weksos. i am really happy with the service and speed i recieve my stuff.

got mine a few months back and its really awesome. it tightens up the suspension really good. my DA corners pretty flat on twisty road and there’s no over or understeer.
also tried it on the track and my car feels well balanced and well mannered. the rear slides on hairpin turns but you’re still the boss. it doesnt even feel like ur going to spin out or anything.
my set-up is just stock with tokico hp and lowering springs. regarding about the finish, from what i heard there’s just some discoloration, nothing to fuss about. i didnt even notice anything plus with the stock muffler, you wont see it. all the pieces are nice and smooth and the improved ride is well worth it.
Aren’t the ST sway bars made to bolt in the stock mounting locations, meaning that they don’t touch the subframe at all?
I thought this kit was made for people who wanted to use an EG/DC/EK style sway bar that mounts directly to the subframe. If you’re not using a sway bar that bolts to the subframe, what is the point of having a subframe reinforcement brace other than looks?
Thanks, for the reply. It is a start which hopefully will lead to some more technical discussion.
Like spring rates?
Wheel, tire size, air pressures?
I am not sure I understand what you mean by “tightens up the suspension really good”?
“corners pretty flat on twisty road” Is “flat” good and how did you determine your angle of roll?
sorry i’m not an expert so sometimes i may be a little off. my DA just has a simple set-up. tokico hp with espelir ASD springs. the springs are said to be 20-30% stiffer than stock and lowers the car around 2". sorry, i cant find any info on the exact rate. 15" oem alloys with falken 912s 205-50/15. i believe tire pressure is around 38psi.
all in all, body roll is minimized with the ASR kit. it doesnt wobble or easily lean during turns, lane changes in hwy, and twisty roads. at the track, it still leans a little ( as do the other heavily modified cars) but its pretty controlled and i believe it improved traction. stiffer shocks and springs lessens body roll as well but its even less with this kit. i can even go fast when we have downpours on the twisties and feel pretty confident. no signs of under/oversteer.
the way i determine the angle of the roll is by eyeballing the hood’s horizon. you can also see that on hard brakings when your car nose dives. you notice how much your car’s front end goes back up, right? you can also feel that you yourself lean less. i know its nothing much but i’m sure its more accurate than my butt dyno.
I can’t really even put into words how much this set-up has changed the feel of my car; but I also wouldn’t attempt to describe it quite yet because I haven’t re-cornerbalanced and aligned since the install.
To say that it “tightens things up” would be an understatement. My first thoughts were that I could probably go down a full 4K on my rear spring rate, but I run some ungodly rates currently, 18K. I also am thinking about pushing my rear camber out for a little more track out back. Because I am feeling more of a positive feeling at turn in I don’t think the car would drag much from a little more tire contact but with a little less tire pressure.
The only advice I would offer up to someone who intends to install the kit, is to check your hardware tension often. I’ve only put about 100 miles on my kit, about 50 miles twice, and both times the chassis hardware had come loose and that was with me using “Blue” Loctite.
And if you are thinking about buying the kit, I would recommend it based on the little I’ve used it, but make sure you’re already upgraded the other parts of your suspension prior to install so you can really appreciate the part.
My Suspension reinforcement set-up is as follows for your own comparison and if you really want to know my Castor, Tow and Corner balance rates I’d have to dig up my last summary from out in the garage; but this off the top of my head:
Rear:
ASR subframe with 24mm sway and adjustable endlinks
Miracle X-Bar
DC Rear Trailing arms with Mugen “prego” bushings
SBC AI Arms
DC2R - Rear upper arms (-3.1 Rear Camber)
18K Rear Springs
JDM Bumper Support (this is a suspension upgrade in my mind as deadweight is a major factor with suspension dynamics)
Front:
Spoon Strut Bar
Replaced OEM bushings - (not a fan of Poly)
22K Front Springs
Cusco Lower Front Strut Bar
Vision A-Arms - (-3.3 negative Camber)
Full Race Front X-member
Hasport Motor Mounts - Black Bushing 60A Durometer
JDM Bumper Support
