aight well i will be at the meet since i did promise you john… ive had a bad week , i told you about my problem when we spoke about the turn signals…and im about a week maybe 2 away from getting my camber kit. now vincent you might now this . im going to use the washer trick for the rear camber correction. problem is i dont know what size washer equals positive camber…i dont want to be lifting and lowering my car all day and having to take everything apart just to add or remove washers…thanks guys for any info
hey vincent when are you going to the track again ? i know ive said no more street racing for me but today during my lunch break i was cruzing down parmer in the middle lane. and then a prelude and 01 elcipes pulled up beside me. andwell we ran since ive done my break in. well the eclipes was nothing to worry about but me and the lude were dead even untill 4th where i started pulling on him…
so vincent i think i can take you now. or atlest it be a super super close race… also man do you have an tips on drag racing at the track? and also man how does it work so that way when i go i dont look like a complete dumbass
Pray, that you don’t look like a dumbass. That usually works.
Also, if your cars having those kinds of troubles then maybe I should just meet you at your house and pick them up, so you don’t hurt your car.
nah im not having problems with my car, im just trying to get every little thing that i need to redo my suspension and get all the alignment settings correct, in 1 day without having to pull everything apart to fix something or what ever later on, and i want my tires to last longer then 6 months
Mike, the rear camber washer trick is not a pefect science. Even the washers themselves have variations in thickness from one to another. I had to use the trial and error method, but I finally got my rear wheels to almost zero degrees camber. I think I used 3-4 washers. I don’t quite remember. How low do you plan to drop your car? I’d say get your suspension on, adjust the height to where you want it, and then adjust the camber. I would guess it takes a washer for every 3/4" of drop. You can take off one of the bolts where the washer goes and bring it in to HomeDepot or Lowes to buy the washers to be sure of the correct fit. If you plan to add more than 2 washers, I’d recommend getting longer bolts also.
About going to the track, we could go any time. Test and tune nights are Wed and Fri. 6pm-11pm. I too am confident that you can take me. I have lost to many non-vtec g2’s in the past. Don’t worry about looking like an ass at the track. Once you’re out there and see how it’s done, you’ll be a pro in no time.
Hope to see everyone at the meet tomorrow at Walnut Creek Park (see pg1 for more details).
Isn’t the game at 2:30 tomorrow? Does this bother anybody? If so, maybe we should meet at like 1:00 or something. I’m down either way, just thought I’d throw it out there.
yeah i’m gonna be devoting time to the game and yeah it’s at 2:30 soooooo
what does everyone want to do? i definitely will not be free after the game, win or lose, so i’m down for meeting before
why not meet at 12… vincent i plan on going a 1\4in lower all around. with an ingalls front camber kit. so i guess i need to go to austin nut and bolt to get longer bolts. maybe even a grade harder, and the correct sized washer…and man gotta give the non vtec’s love…
What ever time ya’ll choose is fine with me. Just let me know so I’m not late.
12 sounds good.
