So let me get this straight, correct me if I am wrong.
yellow - yellow = tranny reverse
black - green/black = reverse lights
green/red - grounded = Dash reverse light
Green/white - grounded = keylock
(fat) black - (fat) black = car will start, key will come out
Black/white - black (on clutch peddle)
cruise wire - pink (on clutch peddle)
Please corect me if I am wrong! I need to have it done by Friday. Please tellme if any of these don’t need to be done, and please tell me what I have left out.
oKAY, it starts and everything, I still have the auto tranny, I will be putting the peddle assembly in tomarrow. I heard somebody say there is already a hole, but it is pluged up. I am going to look for that hole. I will put the peddle assembly in tomarrow and run the cable and zip-tie the cable to the fire wall.
Yea, thats what I read, but I have a buddy that has been tinkering with hondas since '95 and he says it should still have a hole for the cable, but it will be pluged up. He said I could knock it out with a hammer and I could run the cable. I have read to drill a hole with the 1 3/4" hole saw, but I want to take the carpet, sound dampining, and other crap out to look for a pluged hole first.
i assure you if we found a hole like that, we would use it and not spend 10 minutes hunched over upsidedown backwards under the dash drilling. yes there are holes in the firewall, just not in the vicinity of the clutch pedal. the only thing that comes close is the precut square in the carpet that you rip off. just trust us and get the drill and holesaw ready.
i doubt you will be able to get the cable tied on to the firewall. i ran it under the intake manifold and its a stiff fit. don’t worry, you’ll see what we’re talking about once you start doing the work.
OMG how old is this thread. Gerok was my username when I first joined G2IC X amount of years ago. Anyway, I’ve had my manual swap for over 2 years now. Its pretty amazing that my tranny mount, which I shimmed with washers, is still holding till this day (knock on wood) - it probably has for everyone else though. Speaking of the reverse light wiring - I decided to wire it up a few weeks back. I left the reverse sensor wiring boot open since I did the swap, and wired everything up, only to find out the sensor was dead. Sucks.
I found a trick with the parking wire that your suppose to jump. I turned it into a kill switch, along with my fuel pump. Believe it or not, a thief found my fuel switch underneath the back cigarette ashtray and tried to start my car. The parking wire that I turned into a killswitch saved my cars life.
I just frilled a 1/2" hole, and siliconed the boot to the fire wall. I ran mine uned the inake mani and stuffed it between the airbow and the wheel well. Peddles are in, wiring is done. Cant shift outa second, but my job is only 8 blocks away.
i finished the swap 2 nights ago and it was very worth it. b ut now my engine light is on and im throwing a code 13 atmospheric pressure??? what does that mean? any ideas. i got all the parts from a wrecked 90 and mines is a 91. so far everything works perfect except 3rd grinds a little bit. and i still gotta change the cluster so P dont confuse me
Okay, I have been looking for 12x1.25x60mm, and not one person has that size or anywhere near it. I have looked at Carquest, Autozone, Advance auto junk, O’ reilys (sp?), Lowes, Tennessee Hardware, Farm & Tractor supply company. Where do you get these damn bolts?
