THX EVRYONE  :manual:
i have a :
-90 GS with a stock j-spec sir B16a1(about 30 000KM on the engine) w/spoon chip and 10.2 - 1 compression
-s1 tranny
-5spd manual trans
my goals are:
-daily driver(reliable)
-under 5G’s for cost
-between 300-500HP
-want to get pushed HARD to the back of my seat
-bolt on(want a complete as possible kit)
if any more info is needed, just ask…any opinions/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I would piece your own kit together if you want lots of power. I had a Drag Kit on my and it was fast (250 whp) but not stupid fast. I would first sleeve the block or pick up a Dart block to handle the boost you want to handle to reach 300-500 hp. You can eadily piece a kit for under 5K. I would say a GT30 or a GT35R would be a great buy for those hp numbers.
hey guys, just sum more advice. if i want my b16a1 to be able to handle boost in the 300-500HP range i know that stock aint gonna do it…could u guys list me the parts(and good brands) i should start upgrading in my motor to be able handle it? thx again evry1
What I want to do to my b16 is throw a cometic head gasket with ARP studs on with nothing but head work so I could take her high in RPMs. Then get a pretty large turbo. I say jg intake mani, port and polish, three angle valve some cams and a GT series turbocharger.
The weakest part in honda motors is the rods. Find a nice set of crower rods (Manley’s work too), and the a set of pistons (CP, JE). That will hold the boost. ARP studs definatley, and block gaurd. I would say that is the cheap way out.
If you have the extra money to do it right the build the block too.
It all depends on which turbo you are using. If you are using something small I would say 5-7 psi. With built internals i would say 10-20 psi or more. Build the block with internals, its endless.
wow, thx dude, that looks perfect to start…so is that evrything i need to just bolt on a turbo or are there any other parts i need, other than an intercooler :D?
