B16a Vortech Cent. S/C. 10psi pulley or more question.

I have been under the assumption that I can get a 10 psi pulley for the Vort. S/C. I am wondering if there is another available for more boost?

For all of those running a Cent. S/C on their DA, please come out of the dark and let us see your cars. i don’t have a S/C yet, but i’m planning ahead right now. I am very interested in getting one for my 91 teg. The biggest issue i’m going to have is “tooooooning,” and I will need to convert to OBD1.

Anyhow, let me know.

large S/C pulley coupled with the CRV crank pulley should yield near 11psi.

stock LS crankpulley, stock vortech pulley, size of the piping makes a difference… i went from 2.25 to 2.5 and boost went from closer to 7, sometimes 8 psi to 9 almost 10psi

with the right sized piping, b20 crankpulley, i think 12 - 13psi can be achieved…

getting a larger pulley on the supercharger shaft is kind of tricky, because there is a plate that bolts downward onto the bracket, and is over the pulley. which holds onto a tensioner also. so larger sized pulley may be limited…

btw - 1st gen b16, taking it to 8k… 9 / 10psi of boost reads at about 6.5k to redline…

Nice work Tegboi, but don’t ya think you’re running a bit lean? Saw 13.2 for a split sec, otherwise 12.9…

was most likely decelerating…

You’re clearly WOT. It’s around the 17-18 second mark. When you are decelerating, injectors shut off. You’r car has come a LONG way from what I remember it years ago, just don’t want to see you blow it up

I like to tune for maximum 12.5:1 on a mild setup which doesn’t yield as much power, and as low as 11.5 on the higher powered setups depending on octane obviously.

oh, well… i dont know… hahaha that was a while ago… blower has been off for several months now…
