My friend is selling me a B18c V-Tec Head with about $600 work or more into it on a B20 Block. I am in need of a head job on my LS so I was just thinking of coming back V-Tec Style. LS-V on boost.
If I could find a nice low milage GS-R motor then that would be the route I would take. But that will cost me like $1500 more.
What do you all think?
My LS needs Head work but all is fine with it. I can put the B18c Head on my LS bottom if anything…Along with my 92 GS-R Tranny.
Thanks for the info…But this will be a B20 Bottom and a B18c VTec Head…Will that work?
yes that will work just fine, it’s called either crvtec or b20vtec, you’ll need to get some gsr parts like a timing belt, water pump, oil pump, etc…and you’ll need to tap the head for an oil line just like lsvtec.
it’s a great combo, real torquey and the C/R isn’t too high for boost.
eh he should be fine for at least 8 lbs…that’s what my friends been running for over a year, and the other guy above said his buddies’ is running great on 9 lbs for 5 months, but yeah, if you want to spend $1200, get it sleeved.
That sounds awsome…I am going to go with the idea then. I guess I really can’t go wrong with it. it is from a family member and he states that it is worked up and he can get me any parts i need for cheep. He also states that the block has a BlockGuard also.
word redline no time no speak…i got me a b20vtec lol im bout to boost the bitch til i go k series…b20vtec is def fun im anxious to see what it can do on 15 psi  hit me up bro when are you coming down!

Good Luck.
Don’t you tap the Block for the oil line for vtec?
