besides this run i hit 14.8 about 5 times.

This was on horrible hankook tires that=no traction in 1st gear
stock da LS exhaust which is really choking me up top
stock gsr header which is a 4-2-1 and sucks
full interior, nothing removed

mods:
omni power suspension
8lb prostreetonline flywheel
exedy stock replacement clutch
b18c1 *usdm *swap w/ p28 chipped ecu blox im


overall i’m happy with my results…with a 4-1 header, better tires, a 2.5" exhaust, and hondata i should be hitting a high 13 or low 14 second 1/4 mile which is good enough for me. I’m thinking about running ctr cams as well. :driving:

kill list for the night:

i was impressed by my own times
i beat a b16 hatch by alot
beat an h22 prelude by alot
almost beat a mercedes(not sure what model)
beat a boosted vw gti by about .2 seconds
i beat a ls DC by alot
i beat an LS hatch(i think the driver sucked)
i kept up with a boosted z3 14.5 vs.14.7…i actually kept up most of the time until about the end of third he started catching up and proceded to pass me.

downside: my alternator belt snapped off at the track, so i had to change it

upside: everyone who thought they would beat me was surprised that my car was actually semi-fast.

i went to the track tonight and my fastest time was a 14.8…i could not get a good 60ft my best was 2.4

ya man u need to get those 60 ft’s down and u could easily pull mid 14s off with how ur car is now.

actually i hit a 14.6@95 on a 2.3 60 ft the week after this run with a cai.

Did you happen to Run @ LACR? If so your times should be better. That drag strip sucks

ya this was at palmdale @lacr…the track sucks alot. It was windy and hot that day, so that didn’t help at all. Not to mention the altitude of the track.

this is with the GSR motor correct?

This is making me more upset as i go, im running 15.1’s.

i/h/e chipped P61, Eibach springs, Same tranny the car came with(YS1) Exedy stage 1 clutch, b&m short shifter, car is stripped from the front seats back

ya a usdm b18c1.i’m running the stock header and exhaust. My car has full interior as well.

Im running a Jdm B-18C (GSR, not ITR, this is a 95 motor)
with my YS1, im currently building my B-17a, and imported this about 4 months ago, i was pretty happy with my 1/8 mile time when i was at the 1/8 mile track, only lost twice in about 20 runs, running high 9.7’s and low 9.8’s, then i went to the quarter mile…and i run a freaking 15.1!!! wtf
and you guys come here and tell me you have the USDM version of mine, which has like 10 less hp, and less mods…and you are running faster then me makes me angry!

and i know im not a bad driver, cause ive had a neighboor of mine who used to run Pro stock, Buddy Nickens, (look him up if you dont belive me) drive my car, he made two runs, a 15.2 and a 15.1 both with 2.2 60ft’s…my god this motor is making me angry.

when is your v-tec engaging? im at 4250.

I run 15.2 at 94mph 2.3 60ft in my DB8 (94 gsr) w/ sri, ebay 4-2-1 headers, full interior, spare in trunk and 2 12" subs in box

But I also beat cars that I shouldnt, its either faster than it should be or im a better driver than everyone else!

edit: I have a 4dr also, weighs 3200lbs…suckers!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

i’m running a p28 chipped ecu “mugen program” with vtec x-over at 5500 rpm. This is hurting my times alot, because gsr cams are meant for a earlier vtec engagment 4400 to be exact. so ya, with a better ecu and a better driver i could be hitting low 14’s. Your ys1 tranny, if it’s the one off the b17’s has shorter gears than mine so you should be faster than i am, not to mention you have a jdm motor with more hp. lol weird because our trap speeds are the same, but your 60 foot time is less.

what are you shifting at?

my cluster ends at 8k rpm so i shift there or like at 7800 rpm…at the end of the track i’m already in 4th gear.
