Battery near nitrous bottle??

is there any risk mounting the battery near a nitrous bottle?? the battery is in a standard Summit Racing battery box and would be about 12" away from the bottle…would this be dangerous??

no. nitrous isn’t flamable like FnF makes it out to be

LOL…cool than I can get rid of my “danger to manifold” laptop too.

thanks man

oh and trust your floor board wont fall out either you need like a 200 shot to do that :stuck_out_tongue:

really? 200 direct or fogger =P. i would love to make my floor board fall out. that would be kewl. anyways nitrous just cools the gas and air going into the cylendor down. now flamble at all. only thing is the n2o you have in your car and your doctor has isnt the same. one is deadly (one in you car) and other isnt. there is a extra comical in the one for cars.

Yeah, I think it’s Sulfurdioxide or something like that. It’s in there for the single purpose of keep us from sniffing the stuff to get high! The chemical causes you to :vomit: like crazy (not known from experience  ).

The only REAL danger of N2O (other than blowing your motor) is the bottle exploding from too much pressure from it getting way too hot or getting punctured and inhaling the gas like a crack head.

i remember when we’d buy those little bulbs for the whipcream, and breath the gas in, we’d get head spins and the funkyest echo effect… Then we heard the story about some guy whos vocal chords froze and snapped… suffice to say we never did it again…

No, nitrous does not just cool down the gas / air combination. At high enough temperatures, N2o splits apart, releasing 2 oxygen molecules for every nitrogen molecule. This extra oxygen requires extra fuel and voila, more boom! More power.

right, I know that. but i was tring to explain it as easy as i could with out confussing anyone cuz i suck at typeing

Right, nitrous is an oxidizer.

is there a law about driving around with the bottle of nitrous

Im pretty sure that its against the law to have the bottle hooked up on the street. thats what ive heard at least.

There is in TX…Good thing cops are stupid and they dont really look for one. Mines behind passenger seat anyways

Naawwwzzzzz!!!

you need an endorsement to carry more than (if i remember right) 200 lbs of nitrous. i heard you cant have nitrous hooked up to your motor at all but i don’t think a cop would really mess with you unless you are in cali. the saleen n20 focus came with nitrous stock.

so did the new cadillac

in jersey, i think you need some type of permit to have it in your car, but you cant have it hooked up at all

but on the focus it wasnt hooked up… If u did any warranties on the car were gone lol
