Science answer coming soon. But basically, ever notice how large vehicles have larger steering wheels? Its to move the massive tires. Smaller cars have smaller wheels becuase the wheels arent as big. Theres a word for it. I dont wanna say leverage but its along those lines.
If you dont have power steering and you put a tiny wheel on your car, its going to be extremely difficult to use. Try turning the wheels on bus with a wheel like that, then use the larger steering wheel to see the difference.
There is a much much simpler way to explain this but basically thats how it is.
