would like to know from the veteran turbo guys what the best injector size is for 20+psi, using 450 for 15 psi and that is working fine just want to know if i should take the chance of using them on 20+psi
i typed in 450’s in uber on a stock ls base map with 3bar map sensor. Those
450’s will be 97% duty at 19.01psi 4500 rpm so i think 20 psi KABOOM.
with 550’s 25psi at 97% 5000 rpm. The price of 550 and 750 r about the same but the 750’s would need a lil bit more to tune. im using prescision 780’s and my idle is at 750 rpms and they r rated to 123hp per injector. Having the extra room for a boost spike is covered.
I have read that haveing ur injector to run max duty will make it stick wide open not good. I think 85% is the max i would run any injector
450’s max out at ~350whp. If your planning on running more than 350whp I would suggest 750cc+.
