Best way to mourn a loved one, and show how distraught you are at their loss?

I think he’ll be acquitted.

No I didn’t.

Got a link to the section of the State Code which proves that’s illegal? A 911 dispatcher isn’t necessarily a police officer. In many areas they’re normal call center employees. The only difference between them and a telemarketer is people call THEM. Disregarding a request from a 911 dispatcher isn’t against the law…and is DEFINITELY not punishable by prison time.

Wow, I never said it was illegal. It just shows that he pushed the situation. If you use deadly force it has to be justified. If you are charged in a self defense shooting, you will more than likely end up in court with a jury. I carry a concealed weapon every day (with a license) and never want to end up in front of a jury. With my dry personality I would end up like Andy Dufresne.

Then I fail to understand how he can be imprisoned for doing something that’s not illegal. Could you elaborate please?

It will be used by the procecuting attorney to assault his caracter and sway a jury.

Armed, I know how you like to argue your point, but it is not worth going back and forth. What I have stated is my opinion, which I am entitled to.

Only time will tell what happens to Zimmerman when the facts will come out in the trial. Most of the information provided by the media has been sensationalized so that they can profit from it. Unfortunatly the criminal trial will more than likely bankrupt Zimmerman unless someone steps up to pay for his defense. This guy will have to live with the mental and financial ramifications for his decision to pull the trigger.

I’m going to search for an old article from the Palm Beach Post that had the perfect senario for a self defence shooting. A mid aged guy, his wife and two young children were going to Longhorns for a family dinner when 3 armed males tried to rob the family in the parking lot. I’ll just say it didn’t work out for the robbers. And the father was not charged with a single crime, not even discharging a weapon in public. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/crime/robbery-attempt-foiled-when-victim-shoots-first-sheriff-1147980.html

Last time I checked, a jury could only convict a person of CRIMINAL action, not ignoring the request of a call center employee. If a jury convicts on that fact alone, his attorney will have wonderful grounds for overturn on appeal. Ignoring a call center employee does not equate to murder beyond a reasonable doubt.

What I have stated is my opinion, which I am entitled to.

I’ve never had, nor will I ever have, any issue with someone stating their opinion. When they state it as if it’s fact, however, as you’ve done, is where I tend to take exception.

This post is dead to me.

It was dead to me when Trayvon was dead.

Typical. Run away when proven wrong rather than man up and admit it. :giggle:

No, I just think 2ndJenn came to the same realization as we all do when trying to have an educated discussion with
you…it is not possible. This will come down to who the aggressor was and there is no doubt in my mind
that it was Zimmerman. You have made it clear you think it is OK to stalk unfamiliar people in your neighborhood
and shoot them if something goes wrong. Good luck with that.

What evidence do you base your decision on? It’s not stalking when you are the one that lives there.

Lives where? This did not happen in Zimmermans home. It happened on a public public street within a gated community that TM had every right to be in. Listen, I can see both sides to this but in the end I think
that Zimmerman overstepped his bounds, knowing he had a gun for protection, and it resulted in a senseless death. That deserves a second look. Let the jury decide.

Why should a jury be involved because a couple of race baiters decided to whine about this?

Remember that we are talking about a gated community. That is not a public street…or there wouldn’t be a gate.

Let’s say that everything happened exactly the same way, but it was in Zimmerman’s front yard. Would that change anybody’s perception of this?

Last time I checked, residents and their invited, escorted guests have every right to be in a gated community…not members of the general public who are trespassing on private property.

I could be wrong though, so please…feel free to quote the section of Florida law which states that strangers/non-residents have “every right” to be on private property.

You wanted to see proof? Here’s your proof!

Benjamin Crump, the Martin family attorney seems to be brain dead. He didn’t have to go to the hospital because he ended the threat in time.

Interesting read. Always another side of the story.

Just a bump on this topic with an article:
http://dcist.com/2012/07/george_zimmerman_im_truly_sorry_but.php

this guy is failing at coming up with excuses.

Eh, Jesse Jackson does that all the time.

Is he an idiot? Sure. Is he a wanton murderer? Newp.

I’m almost glad I missed this thread.

This is an open and shut manslaughter case. If anyone wants to debate me using the available evidence (in a mature manner), let me know.
