Well, it’s been a minute since my last post. I’ve made some pretty radical changes to my original plan. although my goal hasn’t changed a whole lot. I’m going with a Ball Bearing turbo instead of the Precision 6262, I’ve purchased a brand new PTE 6266 2nd Gen instead. I also have Sheepey Built doing my manifold and cooler, my downpipe, and my gate tube through the hood. The biggest change will be that I’ve decided to go away from the Hondata S300 V3. It’s not that I think there’s anything wrong with it…but the AEM Infinity just seems to have a lot more to offer in terms of reliability using less components, a much faster processor, as well as several added fail safes for insurance. I ended up getting a great deal on a brand new 8H so I snagged that up. I was able to sell my COP kit almost immediately. (Another reason why I always buy good quality parts, they’re easy to resell) I also have my 6262, BWR Top Mount Mani, and the S300 V1 sold (I never did get to upgrade it.)

many more pics to come. Stay tuned. The next few months will be very exciting as everything starts to come together. My goal is to have everything done, car dyno tuned, and driving by April 3rd for the King of the Streets function at PBIR in West Palm Beach.
So I’ve made some big changes and spent a ton of money on my car in the last month or so. My goal is to have this thing all done and ready for the King of the Streets meet at PBIR on April 2nd. It’ll be a challenge though. I’ve got pretty much all my parts purchased and on order, but there are several things i’m waiting on. My DSS 3.9 axles are on a 3 week back order, I also ordered a T1 Cam Trigger Kit and the Rare Earth Magnets are apparently in short supply so no word on when they’ll be ready. Last, with Sheepey at two major events in the next couple weekends, who knows if my manifold, down pipe, cooler, and dump tube will be ready in time. All I can do is what I can control, so here is what I’ve been up to:
Here you can see just some of what has come in. An Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator, an AEM Billet Fuel filter w/ bracket, Fluidampr, TiAL 44mm Wastegate (love this part, it came with every possible spring), AEM Boost Guage to go with my other AEM guages, now I have all 3, A Mishi thermostat, Oil Pressure Sensor, and last but not least…Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc injectors. Here’s a pic:

After that, I needed to do the worlds most difficult job ever…remove the clutch pedal assy from the car, install the hush bracket and Willwood M/C, all the lines, and then put it all back in. If I never have to remove that assy and then try to put those nuts back on the top left brake booster and the top left pedal assy bracket again,I’ll die a happy man. It was about as much fun as replacing the up pipe on a Suburu. I had some pics of the pedal assy out and with the Hush Bracket installed but I can’t seem to locate them…When I come accross them again, I’ll post 'em up. I almost can’t bear to see them…bad memories.
Meantime, I ordered my clutch. I went with a Clutch Masters Twin Disk 745. It was a bit pricey at around $1296 with shipping and after my discount, but I figured this is a big part of my build, why not put good money where I know I’ll need it. Here’s a pic:

Here’s a shot of the bay as it sits now…within 2 weeks, I’ll have the motor in and that when some real progress will take place.

I also installed the Fluidampr

In case anyone was wondering, there is a size difference between the stock b20 crank pulley and the B-Series Street Fluidampr. I ended up having to run to Auto Zone and find a smaller alternator belt:

Nasty build good sir!
What belt did you end up using?
Nice updates! I feel your pain with the Booster. I remember when I removed and installed mine. Wow, one of the worst designs ever.
build is looking nice man
Well guys, I’ll be updating with a bunch of pictures soon. I finally got the motor in the car. I can’t believe how good it looks. I’ll be hooking up the power very soon. Tons of pictures coming when I can get to my PC. Thanks for subscribing.
Brian from FB.
Awesome build thread! And look forward to getting hold of you on April 3rd
Looking good! Keep it up!
[QUOTE=smit7277;2312036]Here you can see the brackets from the ASR piece as they bolt to the inside of the spare wheel well.

Would you be willing to sell that tool kit in the spare tire?
Sorry man, remember, at the end of the day, this is still a street car. I’ll tell you my secret though. Hit up a scrap yard, find a nicer old lady car and grab a full kit from there. They’re all pretty universal in size and they usually charge less than $20 for the whole setup. Hope that helps.
Sweet build man! I have a turbo B18C you can check out my thread it’s lurking somewhere. It’s rare these days to see people build things properly.
I couldn’t agree more. I’ve put a ton of love into this chassis because I feel it’s deserving of nothing less. I just picked up my Ferrea valvetrain yesterday so I’ll be getting the head back on in short order. I’m still waiting on my new head gasket and upgraded LMA’s from Real Street and it’s off to the machine shop.
